Defense Occupational Environmental Health Readiness System (DOEHRS) Program Manager at KAB

Page Section Paragraph Question Answer

PWS 1.2.2.5 &

SS5

Para 1.2.2.5 and SS5 appear to requesting contractors conduct IH surveys which would necessitate IH equipment. Will IH equipment be part of gov't furnished equipment?

Yes.

PWS 1.2.2.5 &

SS5

If contractor is conducting surveys, would contractor be responsible for finding a lab and paying for analyses of workplace exposures (Army and Navy have their own labs, and unsure of the local or AF capabilities)?

No. Contractor will use Air Force approved labs.

PWS 1.2.2.2 &

1.2.2.5.

Para 1.2.2.5 does not detail how many surveys are to be conducted. We could infer 176 from 1.2.2.2, but that may not be a good basis and to do that many surveys in a year would require more than 1 person.

Yes, surveys for 176 industrial shops.

PWS

2.2.

SS 4

Could you further define SS4 performance measurement?

SS4 - Review the phase implementation plans on a monthly basis and update or draft annual implementation plans in order to meet all requirements for full operational capabilities.

Where can the FOC requirements be found?

FOC requirements are all industrial hygiene data (noise surveys/dosimetries, chemical air samplings, ventilation surveys, hazardous materials, OSHA expanded standards, respiratory protection fit testing, respirators, x-ray scatter surveys, laser inventory/surveys, RFR emitter surveys/inventory, ergonomic surveys, health risk assessments on all industrial processes, special exposure groups) for 176 industrial shops must be entered into DOEHRS and the survey reports from these data be generated.
