Salient Characteristics for Portable Stage

Rationale of Requirement 15 WG/Protocol requires a stage for various Ceremonies that occur for different Air Force Units across Hickam. The stage needs to be portable and weatherproof for a variety of different environments and situations where it will be utilized and stored. For setup and breakdown, the stage must be assembled and disassembled by a minimum of two people. With the current stage, it requires a minimum of 10 people to assemble and disassemble, which requires more coordination and manpower.

Portable Stage Requirements The requirements for the stage are below. The vendor must meet or exceed these salient functional and physical requirements, as the current and previous stages would need repairs and labor to maintain or completely replace due to the materials utilized for the previous stages.

Portable, Weatherproof Stage

• Stage dimensions: min: 20’ x 16’ - max: 24’ x 16’

• Height of Stage: min of 2’ – max of 4’that can be adjusted at set, locking points

• Must be able to support a weight of minimum of 2,500 lbs o Weight of 10 people (at 200 lbs) & equipment

• Must be able to be set up on a variety of different and/or uneven surfaces o Stage must come with pegs to secure points of contact with the ground if placed on loose surfaces

• Must be weatherproof in order to withstand strong environmental factors o Stage must be covered with weatherproof/metal material, no exposed wood

• Must be mobile for ease of transportation, setup, and breakdown on GOV van/truck

• Must have multiple platforms that can fit in a GOV van/truck for transport

• Must have carts/hand trucks to transport the different parts of the stage

• Must be able to be set up/broken down by a minimum 2 people

Stairs

• Must have 2 sets of stairs, one for each side of the stage

• Must be made with metal/weatherproof material with tread on stairs

• Must have railings for safety moving up and down the stairs to support the weight of personnel while being used

• Must match the height of stage in any capacity

• 2 – 6 steps for each staircase

Miscellaneous Requirements

• Color of materials and accessories must match (i.e. all black, metallic, or combination of both)

• Curtains to cover the front, left, and right sides of the stage when fully assembled

• Stage must come with assembly and disassembly instructions

• Vendor must contact 15 WG/Protocol 3-business days before delivery of equipment
