Questions and Answers for RFQ # FA520519QB016 Aircraft Rinse Carts
1. Will the unit be required to deliver 12 GPM per gun simultaneously or a total of 12 GPM split between both guns?
They would like both guns to deliver 12 GPM per side
2. The Aircraft Rinse Cart has a dry weight of at least 4,200 lbs and the solicitation states that the Aircraft Rinse Cart must have a 1,000 gallons of fresh water holding capacity which will weigh a total of 8,340 lbs for total "wet weight" of 12,540 lbs, will the rinse cart be required to have 7,000lb axles for a combined rating of 14,000 lbs?
With the total weight of the rinse cart reaching 12,540 lbs. The axles will need to be able to support all that weight, so it makes sense for the axles to be rated for at least 7,000 lbs.
3. Considering the maximum weight of the trailer, is the trailer frame required to be constructed of square steel tube construction?
The trailer frame does not have to be made from square steel as long as the trailer can support all the weight while being towed behind a vehicle equipped with a Pintle hook.
4. Considering the proximity of Misawa Japan to the ocean, is the unit required to be galvanized?
Because of the increased risk of corrosion at Misawa AB, they are requesting that the unit be galvanized.
