NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE:

The 673d Contracting Squadron, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska intends to award a sole source purchase order to Manufacturing Technologies as a result of them having patented technology and copyrighted software. Due to the patent and copyright status, only the manufacturer can fulfill this requirement.

• This requirement is to purchase 100 ea GENTEX oxygen mask cockpit light systems and accessories for the GENTEX Respiratory System currently in use.

This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 13.106-1(b). The anticipated award date is 20 May 2016. Please note that this is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the product/services listed above. Deadline date for the submittals is 18 May 2016 at 2 pm Alaska Daylight Time.

A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
