STATEMENT OF WORK

for

External Heating/Cooling Unit for AMXS Bread Vans

Mountain Home AFB 14 May 2018

1.0 GENERAL INFORMATION.

The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and non-personal services necessary to install a Coleman-Mach 15 or equal air conditioner with heat strip. This shall include the ceiling assembly, Group 24 12 battery with battery box, 45 Amp converter, wiring, breaker panel, 20 Amp breaker, Onan 4000 watt or equal gas generator, generator wire harness/switch, and remote start.

NOTE: The requirements in DFARS 252.211-7003, Item Identification and Valuation, are applicable for this line item. The contractor shall provide DoD unique identification or a DoD recognized unique identification equivalent.

1.1 Coordination. The contractor shall coordinate with the Mountain Home AFB 389th Fighter Squadron, TSgt Shoppell 208-828-2755 for all necessary communications regarding scope of installation, completion times, shipping, billing, and findings regarding the bread van external heating/cooling unit installation.

1.2 Installation. The contractor shall install the bread van external heating/cooling unit in accordance with all manufacturers’ data and industry standards. The HVAC unit is the only item that is allowed to be mounted outside the box. The generator and battery must be underneath the box, preferably on the driver side by the fuel tank fill. The units must be totally self-sufficient and not rely on the vehicle to operate other than the fuel. The photo below is the preferred installation.

1.3 Systems Tests. Following completion of repairs, the contractor shall verify proper functionality by testing all systems and function checks of the bread van external heating/cooling unit. Additionally the contractor will perform a final inspection to ensure all welds are not cracked and components have been conformal coated/environmentally sealed.

1.4 Deliverables. Performance shall begin within 7 days after contract award. Bread Vans will be picked up from Mountain Home AFB Visitor Center by the contractor. Bread Vans shall have installation complete, system testing complied with and fully functional, final inspection complied with, any discrepancies remedied, and returned to the Mountain Home AFB Visitor Center within 21 days after receipt of each vehicle. The contractor shall perform work on one Bread Van at a time. When each unit is completed and returned, the contractor will receive the next Bread Van the same day at the Visitor Center. The contractor shall provide the government a proposed schedule within 3 days after contract award. All work shall be completed no later than 217 calendar days after contract award.

2.0 GENERAL INFORMATION.

2.1 Federal Holidays.

New Year’s Day - 1 January Martin Luther King Day - 3rd Monday in January Washington’s Birthday - 3rd Monday in February Memorial Day - last Monday in May Independence Day - 4 July Labor Day - 1st Monday in September Columbus Day - 2nd Monday in October Veteran’s Day - 11 November Thanksgiving Day - 4th Thursday in November Christmas Day - 25 December If these holidays fall on Saturday, the preceding Friday will be observed. If these holidays fall on Sunday, the following Monday will be observed.

2.2. HOURS OF OPERATION. Monday-Friday 0730-1630 with exception of above listed holidays. Contact TSgt Shoppell at 208-828-2755 for each pick-up/delivery, TSgt Shoppell will advise if there are any wing down days/family days that would prevent delivery/pick-up.

2.3. SAFETY Contractor shall comply with all industry standard safety practices while installing bread van external heating/cooling units.
