QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Questions & Answers

1. Question: How many of the apparatuses /vehicles are going too be undercarriage right side exhaust hook ups?

Answer: 17

2. Question: How many of the apparatuses/ vehicles are going to be vertical exhaust hook ups?

Answer: 1

3. Question: What's the electrical Phase for the building? Signal phase or 3 phase?

Answer: 3 Phase

4. Question: Where will the new exhaust equipment and duct work be stage/ stored during the installation?

Answer: In the vehicle stalls

5. Question: How do they want the exiting vent exhaust roof penetrations too be terminated.

When the duct work and exhaust fan are removed?

Answer: See the updated performance and technical specifications; to use the existing exhaust roof penetrations.

6. Question: What is to be done with the 4 old exhaust fans?

Answer: According to the performance and technical specifications: The removed material will be placed on site at the facility.

7. Question: Does the station's air compressor have sufficient capacity, and is it equipped with a refrigerated air dryer so as to meet the specification for air supply on the exhaust system?

Answer: The current station air compressor has sufficient capacity. It does not have an air dryer.

According to the performance and technical specifications: Unless a fire station air compressor is to be utilized the quoter shall provide a quiet operating compressor to be located accessible to the vehicle bays. It shall also located so that preventative maintenance can be performed quickly and effectively. The operation of compressor running inside station shall not generate sound decibels in excess of 95 dba. The compressor shall be equipped with a filter/dryer to insure the conveyance of clean dry air to the pneumatic controls incorporated in the auto -release ventilation system.

8. Question: Where will the air source(s) for the pneumatics be located?

Answer: The station air lines are hard plumbed throughout the vehicle bay. The location of other sources should be in the drawing provided by the quoter to meet the requirements of the installed system

9. Question: Will Mountain Home AFB provide the dumpster and disposal of the old equipment?

Answer: According to the performance and technical specifications: The removed material will be placed on site at the facility. (1.01 A)

10. Question: Because of the limited access at the end of the building, will the location of the motors be moved?

Answer: The location of the motors should be in the drawing provided by the quoter to meet the requirements of the installed system.
