FA488721Q0030 Questions and Answers

1. What is the make and model of the existing laundry equipment in the Central Linen Exchange Point?

A. No existing equipment in the Central Exchange Point, Contractor supplies all. Contractor is responsible for Linen Exchange at contractor operated facility.

2. How many machines (washers, dryers, pressers, plastic sealers, etc.) are in the Central Linen

Exchange Point?

B. N/A, Exchange point only. Contractor is responsible for Linen Exchange at contractor operated facility.

3. We see the hours of operation for the customers outlined in the PWS but what would the hours of access to the Central Linen Exchange Point located at Bldg. 661 be for the contractor?

A. Linen Exchange point must be manned Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 0730 – 1630, Tues – Thurs 0730 – Noon

4. Will the government or contractor be responsible for the cost of utilities required to operate in the Central Linen Exchange Point?

A. The government will provide electrical utilities to operate government furnished equipment.

5. What are the insurance requirements for the contractor?

A. There are no insurance requirements per the contract, however, the government will be indemnified for loss of government provided equipment due to the negligence of the contractor if determined. The contractor will be responsible for providing its own employee insurance, such as workman’s compensation.

6. Is there a security clearance requirement for the contractor and its employees?

A. Must be able to access the base and pass a background check conducted by security forces personnel. No security clearance required, I.E. Secret, Top Secret.

7. Can you outline the COVID protocols that are required to be followed while on-base and inside the facility?

A. Contractor will be required to follow base policy, following HPCON (Health Protection

Condition) levels. Currently all personnel are required to wear a mask inside government facilities.

8. What is the approximate driving distance between the dormitories and the Central Linen Exchange Point?

.7 miles

9. Will the government require the contractor to transport linens to specified pick-up and drop-off locations?

A. Contractor will be required to collect/deliver from base Central Linen Exchange (bldg.

661) and TLF Lodging only.

10. Have you considered a back-up for a manned contractor?

A. The contractor is required to provide a manned position for the contract. It is the contractor’s responsibility to provide a back-up position to fulfill contract requirements if required.
