Statement of Work Mobile Fire Pump Testing and Training Unit

Fire Department Logistics 2019 Luke AFB Fire and Emergency Services

Requirements:

- Vendor must provide a Mobile Fire Pump Testing and Training trailer/unit capable of meeting the following requirements:

o Unit must be equipped to perform pump service tests up to 5,000 GPM IAW current NFPA-1911 and ISO Guidelines.

o Unit must have the ability to train Fire Pump Engineers to simulate pumping from a fire hydrant with incoming residual pressure with the Fire Hydrant Pump.

o Unit must have the ability to conduct Firefighter hands-on training to simulate fighting an actual fire while Firefighters operate various types of handline and/or stationary nozzles that discharge the water back into the unit.

o Unit must have the ability to perform fire pump service tests from draft with a fire apparatus that is equipped with fire pumps as per NFPA 1911-2017 Standards;

test a variety of handline fire nozzles for GPM and PSI accuracy IAW current NFPA 1962 Standards; and flow large stationary nozzles.

o Additional Equipment:

Training Kit for Training Firefighters and Fire Pump Engineers: Training kit allows firefighters and fire pump engineers to perform hands-on training exercises to properly educate your department on water flow & pump operation, all while recirculating water back into the fire pump saving millions of gallons of water. The kit includes all the required equipment such as training nozzles, gauges, adapters, and fire hose. The kit needs include training nozzles, gauges, adapters, and fire hoses.

P-34 High Pressure Kit for Testing P-34 RIV: Test Kit provides capability to pump test the USAF P-34 Rapid Intervention Vehicle, which pumps low gallonage at very high pressures.

Gauge Testing Kit: Gauge Testing Kit needs to be configured to check the gauges, as well as the pressure and vacuum gauges on the apparatus pump panel for accuracy without the need to remove gauges from their panel.

Fire Hose Tester: Tester needs to have the ability to test fire hose IAW NFPA 1962, designed to test different manufacturer’s handline nozzles in 1”, 1½” and 2½” sizes with ranges of 30-300 GPM.

Custom Cover: UV protective cover due to local climate and weather.

Mounted Spare Tire with Cover Hitch Type: Pintel Hitch or 2-5/8″ ball hitch
