DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE

355TH CONTRACTING SQUADRON (ACC)

DAVIS-MONTHAN AIR FORCE BASE ARIZONA

25 August 2023

MEMORANDUM FOR RECORD

FROM: 355 CONS/PKP

SUBJECT: Response to Questions for Solicitation FA4877-Q-A417 355 BLDG 4414 Carpet and Tile

1. Below are the questions (Q) and the Government’s responses (A) to the inquiries received after site visit between 22 August 2023 to 24 August 2023 as a result of solicitation FA4877-23- Q-A417, for 355 BLDG 4414 Carpet and Tile:

Q1: What materials will the abatement be completed with? Depending on what is used this could potentially interfere with the carpet’s adhesives.

A1: Southwest Hazard, one of our abatement contractors, use a solution that is a bio-degradable, soybean based adhesive remover. They said that it does have a certain level of caustic agents, but it is specifically geared to provide the customer with a clean concrete surface to work with afterwards.

Q2: The side stairwell in room has carpet that will need to be replaced but wasn’t mentioned in the PWS. How would the customer like to proceed?

A2: The stairwell carpet side is requested to be replaced with the same modular carpet used for flooring.

2. Please acknowledge receipt of this memorandum and direct any additional questions to SSgt Trenton Twomey at trenton.twomey@us.af.mil or Ryan Olson at ryan.olson.10@us.af.mil
