1) Are SOF Instructors required to teach basic skills, such as CPR; Or can non‐SOF instructors teach non‐ SOF related skills?
‐Non‐SOF Instructors can teach non‐SOF related skills, such as CPR/PALS/ACLS/etc.
2) How many hours a day can we facilitate training?
‐ No firm requirements on length of each day. Requirements are to meet NREMT‐P recertification requirements, so 8‐10 hrs per day is about right.
3) Can pre‐study materials be used prior to training to condense the timeline?
‐ Due to the robust training tempo prior to the event, pre‐study materials are not desired IOT condense any training.
4) Do the students need to keep the books? Digital or hard back ‐ Yes, and they'd required both digital and hard back.
5) The CECBEMS credential per the contract no longer exist, it has since been replaced (CAPCE). Which credential's must the EMT‐P program have?
‐ I don't believe that CECBEMS is a credential, nor is CAPCE. CAPCE should simply serve as a repository or venue for accredited institutions to be listed. The NREMT's national accreditation for an institution should be the only credential required.
6) Is the CPR/ACLS/PALS/PHTLS, are they a re‐certification or an initial?
‐ All are recertifications
7) Does the Trauma Combat Casualty Care (TC3) course need to be the NREMT version or not?
‐ Does not need to be the NREMT version.
8) Does the EMT‐P recert have to be state, national or both?
‐ Must be National.
9) What are the 16 students EMT‐P expiration cert dates?
‐ This is not a requirement at this stage. Once awarded to a vendor, our medical personnel will provide personal information to facilitate EMT‐P recertification.
10) Are clinicals required?
‐ Hands‐on rehearsals/scenarios are required per NRETP guidelines, but actually conducting clinicals through a hospital or ambulance service is not.
