STATEMENT OF WORK

FOR

REPAIR OF KME FIRETRUCK

YEAR 2014 MODEL Panther II MFD

AT MACDILL AIR FORCE BASE

SECTION 1.0 DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES/GENERAL INFORMATION

1.1 SCOPE OF WORK

The contractor must provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to assess and facilitate the tasks required to complete the repair or rebuild the damaged fire apparatus.

The contractor must supply all parts and supplies required in the repair or rebuilding to include but not limited to front bumper, body, drivetrain, suspension powertrain and firefighting component’s required to return vehicle to NFPA 1901/1911 condition and return to MacDill Air Force Base. Additionally, vehicle will not be accepted back until a certified EVT technician inspects, tests and certifies vehicle and systems for NFPA compliance.

1.2 SPECIFIC TASKS:

1.2.1 The contractor shall load and haul the damaged truck to the repair shop with a vehicle and trailer supplied by contractor. Safely secure the truck to the transport vehicle and deliver the truck to the contractors repair shop without any further damage to the truck.

1.2.2 The contractor shall be responsible for supplying all equipment and manpower to inspect all vehicle systems to include but not limited to frame, body, cab, engine, transmission, driveline, suspension, steering, firefighting, air, electric, HVAC, exhaust, brake as well as paint.

1.2.3 The contractor shall develop a detail quote to remove and replace all worn and damaged vehicle parts and components. The contractor shall base the quote on information gained from inspection of the vehicle. The contractor shall use OEM or equivalent parts.

1.2.4 The contractor shall replace all parts and components that during the inspection are found to be damaged beyond repair or specification.

Additionally, any parts or components that are found in need of repair during the inspection are to be repaired back to manufacture specification.

1.2.5 The contractor shall accomplish the vehicle repair/rebuild without damaging any other part of the truck. If damage to the truck occurs during the repair process the repairs will be made at the contractor’s expense.

1.2.6 Load and transport the repaired truck to the point of origin. Safely secure the truck to the transport vehicle and deliver the truck to the government point of origin without any further damage to the truck.

1.2.7 As soon as practicable, and not later than 7 calendar days after completion of the work, the Contractor shall be required to submit one (1) copy of operational tests performed and a description of the replacement parts. The description shall include the part numbers of any new parts.

1.2.8 The Contractor shall provide a one-year service warranty from the date of final acceptance against defects in workmanship. The parts manufacturer or supplier shall provide their standard warranty for defects in parts and materials beginning on the date of completion.

1.2.9 The Government requires repairs to the fire truck to be completed within

180 calendar days after date of award.

1.2.10 Upon vehicles return to point of origin, Release of the vehicle from the contractor to the government will be contingent upon testing and approval of the MacDill Air Force Fire Department.

1.2.11 The contractor shall maintain a repair report of the parts and man hours used to complete the repair.
