ATTACHMENT 1 - Loading Ramp Specification

CLIN 0001 – QTY 2 – The Mobile Loading Ramp consists of a free-standing ramp and shall incorporate and/or consist of the following minimum requirements:

1. Able to be used on paved and semi-improved surfaces alike; should include ability to accommodate less than perfectly level surfaces, allowing for use with slopes no greater than 1%.

2. Integral mobility is required and shall incorporate non-pneumatic, solid tires and have features to allow the ramp to be moved by forklift and towed by heavy-duty pickup or like.

3. Wheels should be able to be raised or otherwise locked such that the ramp can be secured during material handling operations.

4. Have a bearing capacity for a 75,000 lbs (75k) load.

5. Use wood planking as decking, such that it can easily be replaced periodically as wear and tear requires.

6. Employ curb-type barrier and OSHA approved railings above 30” of elevation along each side.

7. Be able to adjust the ramp height to accommodate vehicle cargo bed heights ranging from a minimum of 36” to a max of 54”.

8. The operational clearance width for shall be a minimum of 14 feet.

9. Vehicle/ramp restraints that can be employed as required.

CLIN 0002 – QTY 1 – The Yard Ramp consists of a free-standing loading dock platform with integral ramp and shall incorporate and/or consist of the following minimum requirements:

1. Able to be installed on a level paved area and be able to be relocated with the use of heavy equipment. Integral mobility is NOT required.

2. Have a bearing capacity for a 75,000 lbs (75k) load.

3. Use wood planking as decking, such that it can easily be replaced periodically as wear and tear requires.

4. Employ curb-type barrier and OSHA approved railings above 30” of elevation along each side.

5. The height of the platform shall be adjustable through augmented means (for example, hydraulically) to accommodate vehicle cargo bed heights ranging from a minimum of 36” to a max of 54”.

6. In the direction of travel the platform/dock shall measure at least 8 feet long.

7. The operational clearance width for shall be a minimum of 14 feet.

8. Impact resistant features.

9. Vehicle restraints that can be employed as required.
