SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS for

4 CMS INNOVATION CENTER 3-D PRINTER

1. Phillips Markforge X7 or equal.

2. Able to provide metal, plastic and Kevlar printing capabilities readily off-the-shelf and durable.

3. Provide fused filament fabrication/continuous filament fabrication printing capabilities.

4. Meets or exceeds T6 aluminum tensile strength (aircraft panels)

5. 120 VAC

6. Print bed with kinematic coupling – flat within 80um

7. Able to print Nylon, Carbon Fiber, Fiberglass, Kevlar and HSHT Fiberglass.

8. Include quote for materials, part property, software

9. Include optional prices for various spools

10. Provide optional quotes for training and without training.

11. No insurance needed

SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS for

4 CMS INNOVATION CENTER 3-D SCANNER

1. Handyscan 3D scanner or equal.

2. Handheld scanning head allowing freedom of movement that does not require external positioning.

3. Not influenced nor sensitive to material (namely metallic parts) in the vicinity of the scanning head or parts (i.e. metallic parts can be within 20 cm/8 in.) of the part or scanner without altering its performance, accuracy and resolution.

4. System measurement resolution of 0.025 mm (0.0009 in). Accuracy of 0.025 mm and a volumetric accuracy of 0.02mm + 0,04 mm/m. Acceptance test of the system is ISO 17025 accredited.

5. USB 3.0 port

6. Real-time visualization of the 3D surface as the object is being scanned.

7. Direct mesh output: an optimized mesh can be exported in all standard formats.

8. Object saved as one file, can be imported into RE/CAD software without post-processing treatment to remove erroneous data, smooth out surface, etc. Mesh output with a user defined/ selected resolution or multi resolution to adapt to areas of different detail levels.

9. Resolution changeable before or after scan.

10. Portable: size of carry-on baggage.

SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS for AFREP 3-D PRINTER DESCRIPTION: Desktop 3-D Printer REQUIREMENTS: The 3-D Printer shall:

1. Be able to print Fused Filament Fabrication and Continuous Fiber Reinforcement

2. Be self-contained, including input and output cables and all instrumentation and controls required to provide high quality accurate prints

3. Minimum build Volume of 320x132x154 mm

4. Run off standard 110 VAC

5. Print bed with kinematic coupling – flat within 160um

6. Able to print Nylon, Carbon Fiber, Fiberglass, Kevlar and HSHT Fiberglass

7. Yes, materials and software needed please provide quote.

8. No training, no installation, no service, nor insurance needed
