Building 310 Flooring & Baseboard Replacement
STATEMENT OF WORK
1. OBJECTIVE: Tear out old flooring and install new flooring in sections of building 310
SCOPE: The scope of work consists of (to include New Mexico Gross Receipts Tax
(NMGRT)):
a. Contractor will remove the old carpet in all offices and baseboard where directed and provide complete install of Luxury Vinyl Plank-type (LVT) flooring (Hot & Heavy Alder Creek 945, product number: SECOYA C 0009) and baseboard (20 Charcoal). (Areas 1 & 2)
Area 1 – LVP-type flooring will be installed in 7,565.45 square feet (SF) in offices, rooms, in the southwest corner of building 310. In the same areas, baseboard will be installed; the amount will be determined during a site meeting. All hallways will be excluded. Contractor is also responsible for removal of current flooring and baseboard, disposal of waste, and cleaning of any debris or waste brought into, or generated by, aforementioned actions.
Area 2 - LVP-type flooring will be installed in 4,637.6 square feet in the command section and commander’s support staff located in building 310. In the same area, baseboard will be installed; the amount will be determined during a site meeting. All hallways will be excluded. Contractor also is responsible for removal of current flooring and baseboard, disposal of waste, and cleaning of any debris or waste brought into, or generated by, aforementioned actions.
Please Note the Following:
1.) Since the hallways are excluded, the height elevation is no longer an issue. Transition slips between the hallways and the offices are acceptable;
2.) If there is more than 10 personnel on site, you will need to provide your own porta-potties. If less, they can be accommodated in our restroom facilities;
3.) A 72-hour notification is required from the contractor if they want to work outside of usual office duty hours such as weekends. And can only be granted if AF personnel is available to be in the building during that time;
4.) The customer will be responsible for moving all item from the work area;
5.) Site Survey will be required;
6.) All work may be conducted concurrently with end user pre-coordination
2. BACKGROUND: Building 310 has old and unattractive flooring and is in need of replacement. Old carpet is degraded to the point of creating tripping hazards in various places. Upgrades in several areas of the building are ongoing and it is an opportune time for upgrade/replacement of flooring as well.
3. TECHNICAL REQUIREMNTS:
3.1 Contractor must be licensed to perform required tasks.
3.2 Contractor(s) must be able to gain entry to Military Installation to perform required tasks.
