Answer: We don’t understand this question. What is BOM?
12. Question: Please confirm that no third-party control system (Crestron or AMX) is required to control layouts of the video wall?
Answer: There is no required third-party control system. A control system is needed.
13. Question: The scope of work indicates these are to be installed. The quote form has no line for installation. Please confirm that these are to be installed and advise where on the form this should be included.
Answer: It is required for the contractor to install the equipment
14. Question: For the 3 year warranty requirements, Christie warranties the displays for 3 years but the servers only for 2 years. Would this be acceptable or do we need to purchase a 3rd year of warranty on the servers? If so, please indicate where this should be included on the quote form.
Answer: Purchase a 3rd year of warranty if using the servers issued by Christie
15. Question: And a general catch all of…we assume that all infrastructure that is needed to support this project is in place (ie. structural for support of the video walls, and required data and electrical, etc), and is NOT part of this scope. Please confirm.
Answer: Ensuring that the wall is structurally sound should be included in the scope of the work. I can only assume that the wall is structurally sound

Answer: No
19. Question: Could you clarify if you need installation? One Sow says yes the other latest says NO.
Answer: Yes they need to be installed by the contractor
20. Question: Is this solicitation (FA468619Q6514) considered an operations Center and is the use case Mission Critical?
Answer: Don’t understand this question. This is just to purchase and install some media walls in a work center.
21. Question: Based on gov comment at the site survey, it appears that the government desires installation of two video walls. One is a 4x3, and the other is a 3x3, for a total of 21 display panels. Will the government amend the RFQ to a total of 21 panels, or will they still require 36 panels with 15 being uninstalled spares?
Answer: 24 panels will be required with 3 uninstalled spares
22. Question: The installation requires dedicated 110-120V 15A/20A circuits and wall outlets to provide AC power to the video wall displays and control system. Will the government agree to ensure there is a minimum of four (4) independent 110-120V circuits and outlets available to the vendor at the installation wall? (Five outlets required if user requires redundant power supply.)
Answer: The winning contractor will be able to discuss anything with the customer that may become an issue during the installation phase.
23. Question: Based on gov comment at the site survey, gov desires 16 inputs that can be fed simultaneously to the video wall. Thus the government requirement is 16 inputs and 16 outputs. Will the government amend the solicitation from the current requirement for 16 inputs and 4 outputs?
24. Question: Can the government provide a proposed listing of the sixteen inputs, to include video signal specification?
Answer: 8 VGA and 8 HDMI
25. Question: At the site survey, gov indicated that the input mix would be eight HDMI and eight VGA. Should we plan our proposal to this specification?
26. Question: Of the sixteen inputs, how many will be shown exclusively on the left (4x3) wall? How many will be shown exclusively on the right (3x3) wall? How many will be shown on both walls?
Answer: Having the ability to put 16 displays on both walls is requested. The wall displays will not be static, and will change on a daily basis depending on the mission needs
27. Question: At the site survey, the specification and even the location of the sixteen inputs was still TBD. Will the government agree that the vendor only needs to provide input capability at the control station, and it will be government responsibility to cable the input to this position, either upon installation or at a later time?
Answer: Yes, however the government requests 10 extra cables, both VGA and HDMI cables of 25ft in length be added to the cost estimate
28. Question: The requested Christie Spyder X80 Video Wall Processor is both very capable and very expensive. If the vendor desires to propose a solution using this processor, but additionally propose alternate solutions that user either 1) an alternative processor by the same or other manufacturer, or 2) no separate processor but instead rely on video wall processing imbedded in the display panel controller from other manufacturers, should the vendor:
a. Include these options in the same RFQ submission, or
b. Submit these options as separate RFQ submissions?
Answer: Please only include what is being asked in the RFQ or an “or equal” requirement that meets the same specs.
29. Question: Will the government consider amending the Line Item 1 requirement to a capability statement rather than a product listing? Proposed verbiage could be: Provide Video Wall Processing and Control that allows remote manipulation of up to 16 independent video inputs. Each input can be displayed on one or all screens of each video wall, or windowed to any intermediate size or position. Up to sixteen inputs can be displayed simultaneously.
30. Question: Some manufacturers bundle the video wall mounts (in this case landscape/ADA) with their displays. In this case, should the vendor indicate that cost of Line Item 3 - ADA Wall Mounts is included in the cost of Line Item 2 - Video Displays?
Answer: If that is the case, yes.
31. Question: The RFQ only includes Line Items for listed equipment. Does it matter how the vendor spreads the cost of installation, shipping, on-site training, etc. among these three line items? For purposes of cost evaluation, is the Total Cost the only cost that is considered? Is it possible that the government could exclude one of the Line Items (such as Line Item 1) in the final award?
Answer: The RFQ has been updated to add another CLIN for installation.
32. Question: Observation 1. Item 1 on the ordering table is Qty:1 Spyder Processor with 16 inputs and 4 outputs.
