STATEMENT OF WORK
TEMPORARY AIR CONDITIONING BLDG 465
MARCH ARB, CA

1. INTRODUCTION
1.1. The Contractor shall provide all materials, equipment, labor and supervision necessary to provide temporary air conditioning in Bldg.465 at March Air Reserve Base, California in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW).
2. SCOPE
2.1. Contractor shall provide a 50 ton portable air conditioning unit (480 volt 3 phase), all duct work, duct connections, electrical cables, unit disconnect and any other components needed to provide temporary air conditioning to the main gym floor in building 465.
2.2. The portable air conditioning unit and all components shall be run in such a way as to not disrupt gym/base functions or block any building entrances or exits.
2.3. The contractor shall be responsible for all components necessary to protect power cables, duct work or any other components connected to government facilities. This protection must be placed in such a way as to prevent damage to equipment and protect the base populace from potential injury. This is to include but not limited to delineators, light barricades and cable ramps for vehicle traffic.
2.4. Prior to unit delivery and installation, the contractor shall submit a plan to the Government on how the unit will be connected to the building to include all power requirements such as voltage, phase, conductor size and any area needed to be prepared by the Government prior to unit connections. Contractor shall be responsible for power conductors from the unit point of connection to the government provided point of connection. Government shall be responsible to provide power and appropriate size circuit breaker at government provided point of connection.
2.5. Contractor shall provide a minimum of 2 business day notice to the Fitness Center Director and SSI prior to equipment delivery. Upon rental completion and removal of the portable air conditioning unit from the site, a joint inspection shall be performed by the government and contractor representatives. Any damage noted during the inspection shall be the contractors’ responsibility to repair.
2.6. Contractor shall be responsible for all maintenance and repair of provided portable air conditioning unit and associated equipment. Contractor shall provide in writing a maintenance schedule, service contact numbers and emergency contact numbers.
3. GENERAL WORKSITE
3.1. The Contractor shall conform to all base regulations and directives pertaining to security, safety, fire, traffic, and personnel clearance, insofar as they pertain to the Contractors activities on March ARB, California. The Contractor shall ensure conformance by all employees and subcontractors.
3.2. In accordance with FAR 52.236-6 Superintendence by the Contractor, the Contractor shall have an authorized representative with decision making authority at the site at all times when there are workers on site or when deliveries are to be received. The representative shall be designated as such and approved by the Government Contracting Officer.
3.3. The Contractor shall prepare a pass information sheet identifying all employees, including subcontractor employees, who will be working on March ARB. Upon completion of the contract or expiration of the passes, the Contractor shall ensure that all passes issued to employees and subcontractor employees are returned to Security Forces. Failure to comply with this requirement may result in withholding of final payment.
3.4. The Contractor shall obtain permits for work associated with hot work, welding, cutting, and brazing from the March Air Reserve Base Fire Department prior to any such work.
Allow 7 days for processing of permits.
4. CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION
4.1. The Contracting Officer will be the only individual authorized to amend or modify the terms of this contract.
5. PERFORMANCE
5.1. The rental period for the portable air conditioning unit is 120 calendar days.
