Class A Uniform Specifications

Performance

Required for this effort- The contractor shall furnish all clothing, labor, materials, equipment, and transportation, necessary to/for: Initially travelling to the Fire Station at March A.R.B Ca with sizing and fitting each member until the uniform is complete with proper fitting specifications.

Black Dress Coat

Gabardine or tropical weave 55/45 poly wool blend Double-Breasted, six “FD” buttons (male or female). Single-breasted, four “FD” buttons (female). Fully lined with peak lapels, 3 inside cloth reinforced pockets, and light quilting in upper chest lining.

Braid: sewn on the top side of each sleeve between seams; the bottom of the first braid needs to be 3” above the cuff.

Gold finish buttons and braids (Chief Officers) Silver finish buttons and braids (Non-Chief Officers)

(1) 1/2" Silver Braid: Engineer

(2) 1/2" Silver Braids: Captain

(2) 1/2” Gold Braids: Station Chief

(3) 1/2" Gold Braids: Assistant Chief

(4) 1/2" Gold Braids: Deputy Chief

(5) 1/2" Gold Braids: Chief of the Department

Service Cross: 3/4” size, one Cross for every (5) years of service. Embroidered on left sleeve of coat 1/2” above the topmost Braid.

Gold color for: Chief Officers (Station Chiefs, Assistant Chiefs, Deputy Chief, and the Chief of the Department).

Silver color for: Non-Chief Officers (Firefighters, Engineers, and Captains)

Department Patches: Worn on both sleeves, centered 1” below shoulder seam

White Long Sleeve Shirt

Polyester blend shirt 65/35 Dacron Polyester/Cotton Duro Poplin Stain Smart treatment.

Shoulder straps cross stitched symmetrically for neater appearance 7-button placket front.

Pleated pockets and mitered pocket flaps, conventional collar and band with permanent collar stays.

The Department Patch is worn on the Right sleeve and the American Flag Patch is worn on the Left sleeve, both centered 1/2” below the shoulder seam.

Black Trousers 55/45 Dacron Polyester/Wool, gabardine. Side pockets and two hip pockets, 1½" wide waistband and belt loops, freedom fit waistband provides 2-way stretch for comfort. Tru-Grip strip helps shirts stay tucked comfortable, and an overall soft fabric in a highly professional gabardine weave.

Black Skirt – Female Option 55% polyester/45% wool Gabardine or tropical weave Hemmed at mid-knee

Belt Black leather (1 ½” wide) Basket weave Square style buckle with center bar Gold-finish buckle (Chief Officer) Silver-finish buckle (Non-Chief Officer)

Necktie Black (plain) Tropical weave or similar to closely match uniform coat fabric 75% polyester/25% wool is recommended Sam Broome, style 455 (3”) Windsor or 4” hand knot (pre-tied or snap on) Regular or extra length

Footwear Black leather High-gloss finish Laced Oxford style shoe One-piece toe (without design or stitching)

Footwear - Female Option Plain leather Smooth finish Closed heel and toe Variable heel height of 3/4" to 2"
