Text version

1. Can you please advise if this an all or none award, or can we bid various items?

a. All or none

2. Comment: We need a straight fiber connection single mode on both computers

3. Comment: Switches need to be on both lists (NIAP/DISA), must be single mode fiber, and must be Cisco or Juniper brand

4. Do the devices need to have an Ethernet connection to switches? Is the distance greater than 330 feet?

a. The devices will all be connected to the switch via single-mode LC fiber. The distance has not yet been calculated for all devices so cannot answer the distance question with certainty.

5. Are the products shipping directly to the facility? Need clearance to get on base?

a. Yes shipping to the facility, no clearance needed.

6. Do you need someone to sign for the packages?

a. Not necessary, but we will have someone available to sign if necessary.

7. Once items are shipped and they end up being broken, will you reach out to us or the manufacturer?

a. We will reach out to you.

8. Is the close date for the solicitation going to be extended?

a. Unfortunately, due to mission constraints we cannot extend the due date.

9. Is the purpose of the I-65 and Z-150 to be utilized by the switches?

a. Yes

10. is space an issue?

a. Yes, spacing is an issue. We would like to get the smallest footprint possible to fit what we need. With that being said, getting the right components is the priority as opposed to getting the smallest system available that doesn’t have the right components.

11. Is the DoD requirement 6” or 32”?

a. Unsure if this is necessary information, I believe this was asked by the company trying to offer us one chassis with all systems in it. Our spacing requirements shouldn’t impact what equipment we get quoted for.

12. Do you need power over Ethernet for the non-KVM switches?

a. Yes

13. SFP for Switches

a. We require a fiber switch, whether that’s all SFP slots or another 48 port solution that allows us to connect fiber only. If it is a switch with blank SFP slots we would need to be quoted for the SFP’s as well I would assume

14. Layer 2 or 3 with the switches?

a. Layer 2

15. Need fiber uplinks 1GB or 10GB?

a. 10GB for switches

16. Do you need power redundant for the power supply in the switches?

a. No

17. Do the switches need to have stacking capabilities?

a. Yes

18. 8-core needed for small form factor?

a. We need 8-core definitely in the higher end computers, for the SFF it is definitely preferred but if it’s the only thing missing from the SFF and every other requirement can be met, we should be good with 4 core on it.

19. Comment: NIC has to be direct LC fiber connection

20. Graphics video card needed to be integrated or PCIe graphics card?

a. PCIe most likely, whichever provides us with the ability to use dual monitor and meets the requirements.

21. LC type cannot be SFP, it has to be integrated in 10GB adapter?

a. All computers must have a fiber NIC with a fiber LC connector. No blank SFP slot adapters

22. Are there any brand preferences for printers?

a. No brand specified, so long as they meet our specifications

23. KVM will be used for single operator to connect to SIPR/NIPR?

a. Yes

24. Requirements for sizing on 0001 and 0002?

a. Smaller the better, so long as they meet our specifications

25. Small form factor question

a. We would like to get the smallest footprint possible to fit what we need. With that being said, getting the right components is the priority as opposed to getting the smallest system available that doesn’t have the right components.

26. Do the PC’s need to have support Trusted Platform Module(TPM)? If so what level?

a. Yes they need to have TPM, unsure of what’s being asked regarding level type
