1.2 Must be capable of fitting a standard sized 4 door pick-up truck fully inside the structure
1.2.1 Not less than 9 Ft. tall (Interior height)
1.2.2 Not Less than 12 Ft. wide (Interior width)
1.2.3 Not less than 17 Ft. long (Interior length)
2. Tent Construction
2.1 Each tent shall be manufactured with an internal air-frame structure that is of a closed/airtight, single chamber type design.
2.2 The canopy, doors, floor, windows and identification panels and any other specified options such as curtains must be pre-installed and attached to the frame, so they are already in place as the structure is set-up.
2.3 Must have the option to easily convert the entrance from a personnel entrance to a vehicle entrance.
3. Tent Fabrics
3.1 Each tent’s fabrics and components used must be designed to withstand adverse weather conditions such as high winds (at least 40 Mph), extreme cold or heat (with temperatures ranging from -30F to +120F) and heavy rain
3.2 Tent Airframe
3.2.1 Tent airframe should be a chemical resistant reinforced material
3.3 Canopy and Curtain Material
3.3.1 Should be made of urethane coated nylon (or equal) which is externally permanently attached to the frame.
3.3.2 The Tent Canopy must be UV resistant and water repellent with a minimum hydrostatic pressure resistance of 170 PSI.
4. Inflation System
4.1 Each tent must have at least two standard methods of inflation.
4.1.1 Suggested primary method would be by electric 110V inflator
4.1.2 Suggested alternate method would be by the use of a standard SCBA high pressure air cylinders as commonly used for breathing apparatus.
4.2 A dedicated connection shall be provided for the SCBA alternate inflation method, to include a double safety locking quick connect coupling and safety line during SCBA inflation operations.
4.3 Inflation Safety features
4.3.1 Each tent must be equipped with “at least” one self-resetting automatic pressure relief valve.
4.3.1.1 The tent pressure relief valve(s) must be capable of relieving enough air pressure to safeguard the air structure from over inflation, even when used with full flow SCBA bottle deployment.
5. Deployment
5.1 Each tent must be able to be deployed/set-up with 2 persons or less, in a time frame not to exceed 8 minutes total (Time includes deployment and set-up from storage case to fully erect).
5.2 The tent shall be capable of deploying within its own “foot-print” allowing the base structure to be unfolded and anchored to the ground prior to activating the air structure, enabling easy deployment in high winds.
5.2.1 Tent must have a primary and secondary anchoring system
5.2.1.1 Primary such as stakes and tie-downs (for soft surfaces)
5.2.1.2 Alternate such as sandbags or water bladders (for hard surfaces)
6. Storage
6.1 Each tent must be provided with a heavy duty soft case.
6.2 The Tent System shall be designed with materials that when stored properly, the tent can be stored for a minimum of 6 months without the need for deployment and/or maintenance.
6.3 Stored dimensions must not exceed to 45”L x 35”W x 29”H
7. Heating
7.1 Each tent must be accessorized by a portable heating unit capable of burning multiple fuels (Kerosene, JP8, Diesel 1&2 or Fuel oil 1&2)
7.2 Power supply must be 110V / 120V and unit must be capable of a heat output of at least
91,000 BTU/hr and a minimum airflow of 700 CFM.
7.3 The Heating unit must come with all of the equipment necessary to function with an inflatable tent system to include, ducting, adapters, electrical connections and accessories with a storage case for ease of storage and deployment
8. Lighting
8.1 Each tent must have a LED Lighting system with on/off controls and a storage case for ease of storage and deployment
8.1.1 Must have all appropriate mechanisms for assembly and use in an inflatable tent system.
9. Electrical
9.1 Each tent must have an electrical distribution system to include:
9.1.1 Single phase cables at least 50 ft. (50 Amp)
9.1.2 Single phase electrical junction box capable of supporting a minimum of 4 electrical outlets
