STATEMENT OF WORK

Base Theatre & Auditorium Upgrade

Malmstrom Air Force Base, MT

17 September 2018

The purpose of this project is to replace existing projection and sound system in Malmstrom AFB movie theatre. The following document specifies the required objectives the contractor must accomplish.

1. Theater Projection System:

1.1. Contractor is required to provide and install new digital cinema core projector with TPC in the theatre projection booth. The distance from the projection booth to the screen is 80 feet. The intent of this projector is to connect to an existing computer located in the projection booth and to display DVD movies / multimedia material for presentations. See Product List (all products are brand name or

EQUAL) for additional requirements concerning the Digital Cinema Core Projector.

1.2. Contractor is required to establish a video signal connection from a laptop terminal at the front left side of the theater stage to the projection booth. The purpose of this is to allow an additional laptop to be connected for easy access during base ceremony presentations.

1.3. Contractor must install a new white front projection screen in place of the current one. The required screen size is: height: 12’ width: 28’. The screen must be motorized and extended from and retracted into the ceiling utilizing a wireless remote control from projection booth. The screen must also be matte white in color.

2. Theatre Sound System:

2.1. Contractor must remove and replace the existing sound system including the speakers mounted on the walls and in front of the screen. There are a total of three (3) Ashly KLR-2000 power amplifiers, one (1) Ultra Stereo System – JSD-60D 5.1 Surround Sound Processor. There are also two (2)

American Audio XSP-12A powered monitor speakers. The intent of the sound system is to produce movie and presentation quality sound.

3. Contractor will ensure all wiring is either routed through the ceiling or wall, or contained in wire track in a manner that does not cause safety concerns or add an eyesore to the facility.

3.1. Note that detailed descriptions of the amount of loom, wire mold, fittings, and track are not available and must be obtained by contractor upon contract award. See Theater Floor Plan for additional details.

4. Contractor will provide 72 hour on- site response for necessary repair/warranty for a period of 365 days from completion of the project.
