Additional Q&A Why has the Government mandated a SPECIFIC brand?

-There is not a sole source in the specification. Spec section 28 31 76, part 2, 2.1-A, says that the contractor has the option to submit on other products. The specifications also then go on to identify requirements that the alarm system must meet. If they find something identical to the requirements listed in the specifications, than they can submit on that product/manufacturer.
