The deadline for responses is extended to July 14, 2023 to allow consideration of the amendment. FA460823QC070 – Vehicle Barriers
Amendment 01
1. The purpose of this amendment is to provide responses to the questions that were submitted regarding the Vehicle Barriers solicitation. This amendment will also update the quantity for this requirement to reflect a total coverage of 80ft, rather than 20 EA. To provide adequate time for this information to be considered, the solicitation due date will be extended from 11 July 2023 to 14 July 2023.
2. The questions and answers regarding this solicitation are as follows:
Question 1: In review of the bid specs it appears you are requesting twenty Mifram barriers, each of a 24" width, for a total coverage 40 feet ...........is that correct?; further you are requesting the little plastic wheel kit on each section so they can be moved........is that correct?
Government Response: Regardless of quantity, we are requesting a total coverage of 80 feet.
Yes, we would want them to have wheels to be easily moveable.
Question 2: Further, you are not requesting a trailer or other mechanism to haul the equipment.....do we read that correctly ?
Government Response: This requirement is for the barriers alone; no storage or hauling equipment is required.
Question 3: Is it Barksdale’s intention to set these up at, say, the main gate, and leave them there? That question is fairly important for us so we bid the right set up.
Government Response: They will be used to block lanes of traffic and will be moved daily.
