MEMORANDUM FOR RECORD
SUBJECT: FA4608-15-R-0013 Fire Suppression System Questions and Answers
1. SOW Para 3.f. states Replace Post Indicator Valves going to water tank. How many valves? What size?
2. SOW did not specify any painting/coating of exposed pipes. Will painting/coating be required? If it is required, please specify or provide guide specification on type of painting/coating.
3. Does CE prefer us to price replacing the existing lighting fixtures?
4. Does CE prefer us to price in replacing the existing fire alarm panel?
5. Does CE prefer us to price replacing the main electrical panel for B5856?
6. Will they require the new piping to be installed to be painted?
7. Will a construction fence be required around dumpster and lay down area?
8. For the PIV valves to be installed, from what we could tell they are none existing between the pump house and the water tank. Can we find out what size these need to be for pricing?
9. Will the set of As-build drawings that were at the site visit be made available on-line or can we request them on a disk?

3. Yes
4. Current system is a conventional panel, believe that it will be difficult to reuse once we add all the additional devices that will need to be added, therefore replace current panel with Monaco MAAP+
5. If current panel meets new requirement and codes then it will remain. There is a sub-panel that supplies power for the charger/lights and some wall plugs that will need to be replaced. It is a 100 Amp, 12 Circuit, 120/240, single phase panel
6. Piping will be required to be coated for protective purposes
7. Yes – 6’ fence with black screening material
8. There will be 4 new 12” PIVs installed in the lines between the pumps and the tank, 1 new 16” PIV to replace the one in the floor of the pumphouse facility
9. These were already sent to 2CONS so they could upload to FedBizOps. If you have a specific drawing you would like to see, ask I will see if we have it, but drawings are limited
