Pre-Proposal Offeror Questions and Government Responses Auto Hobby Questions

1. Q: Please clarify whether or not bid bonds are required.

A: Bid bonds not required.

2. Q: Please clarify depth of asphalt removal and replacement.

A: For the auto hobby parking lot, asphalt is to be removed to a depth of 4 inches below the existing grade. If the asphalt is less than 4 inches thick then base course shall also be removed till a depth of 4 inches is reached.

3. Q: Is prime coat required?

A: Prime coat will be the option of the contractor. It is not required.

4. Q: Spec. section 32 11 13 / 3.5.7 - Proof Rolling seems to have a typo regarding the vehicle size to be used. Please clarify.

A: I believe the wrong specification may have been referenced in the question, but to clarify, since it is not an airfield pavement, any size vehicle may be used as long as it can provide the results stated in the specifications.

5. Q: Please clarify if existing concrete around the perimeter of the building is included in the scope of work.

A: Asphalt around the vacuums is included in the scope of work.

6. Q: Please clarify if asphalt around the vacuums is included in the scope of work.

7. Q: Please clarify if small driveway at the SE corner of the South parking lot is to be included in the scope of work.

A: Yes, the small driveway is also be included in the scope of work

8. Q: Please clarify if the existing bollards on the North side of the building are to be removed and replaced.

A: Existing bollards shall not be replaced with new bollards. If the contractor needs to remove the existing bollards in order to perform the work required, then that is fine, but they shall be placed back in the same location when the work is completed.

9. Q: Is any pavement marking included in the scope?

A: Pavement marking is not included in the scope of work.

10. Q: Will this project require a CPM schedule?

A: Yes this project will require a CPM schedule.
