1. Can a cathodic test station detail be provided?

The current specs state it would be Attachment 11 but the included attachment 11 is actually a MAF grounding detail which the specs state is attachment 12. Attached is Test Station Detail Attachment 11, Grounding detail should be labeled Attachment 12

2. Is a vent pipe required from the bottom of anode hole to ground level?

A: Para. 25.1.4 states “Contractor shall… place a 6”x10’ Sch 40 PVC pipe at the top of the hole. A 1” vent line shall be connected to the 6”x10’ length of plastic pipe as shown on the attachments[Attachment 4].”

3. Does the #2 ground cable into the sites all come in at the same location?

A: Answered on site type details.

4. Is the distance from rectifier the same on all sites?

A: Answered on site type details.

5. How far is the power disconnect from rectifier on each site? Same on all?

A: Answered on site type details.

6. How far is the #2 site ground cable entrance from the rectifier?

A: Answered on site type details.

7. Will any trenches cross the access road?

A: No.

8. Are all rectifiers 36amps/36 volts?

A: No, see Attachments 5A and 5B. LF is different than MAF.

9. What size main disconnect do we need in the rectifier disconnect box? A Circuit Protection is already included in specified rectifier.

10. Do we need to provide additional breakers for plug in and camera?

A: No.

11. Do the 4 barrier posts get replaced by rectifier posts? If so, with what type of post?

A: Barrier posts are to be removed but not replaced.

12. Where is a source of potable water for drilling operations among the 15 MAF‐LF sites?

A: Para. 25.1.1 states “Contractor shall supply water for drilling and backfilling.” No water will be supplied by the Government.

13. Can we get drilling water (2,500 gallons per portable tank truck) at any of the MAFs?

A: See answer to question 12.

14. Where is the approved disposal site for drill cuttings/borehole bentonite?

A: It is the Contractor’s responsibility to locate and properly dispose of waste products in an authorized facility in accord with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

15. Can we drill during additional hours, say Monday‐Friday 0700‐1900?

A: Para. 4.1 states “If for any reason the Government works for the Contractor’s benefit on days other than outlined above, the costs of inspection at overtime rates and vehicle expenses may be charged to the Contractor.” This applies to all work outside the specified M-R 0730-1800.

16. Is an alternate anode (additional specs (CPSI Dwg. 200P‐366, D1‐D6) at Contracting if desired) approved?

A: No.
