STATEMENT OF WORK

Introduction:

The 621st CRW request contractor supply and installation of one vertical rack storage system for Bldg. 3403 – Global Readiness Deployment Center (GRDC), supporting storage, organization, and accountability of equipment for exercise and real world contingency requirements.

Scope of Work:

The contractor will provide and install a vertical rack storage system. Contractor will dispose of all packaging/crating materials and/or other waste generated in the installation process. Contractor will supply all equipment and materials required for installation of, delivery of and set-up of

Vertical Rack Storage System and must provide a sustainment plan that includes all required scheduled maintenance and a warranty. Contractor and contractor personnel must possess strong oral communications skills and technical expertise in installation and set-up skills for vertical rack storage systems.

All work must be performed Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 am and 3:00 pm.

No work will be performed on weekends, federal holidays, JB MDL family days or before/after the hours specified on weekdays unless prior approval of the contracting officer’s representative is obtained.

Contractor Installation/Equipment Requirements:

Vertical Rack Storage System must include manual mast and bridge, built-in mobile tines with a minimum 2000 lb. lifting capability, 2000 lb. capacity per rack position, and appropriate bracing.

System must have built-in, electronic forklift capability with an ergonomic design and easy-to-learn and easy-to-use controls that do not require license or certification.

Each position on the Vertical Rack Storage System must be able to hold an Alaska

Environmental Control Unit (54” X 54” X 30”).

Safety clearance for each position on the Vertical Rack Storage System of 6” X 6” X

5” giving a total size of approximately 60” inside space wide, 60” inside space deep, and 35” inside space tall.

There will be 9 each rows on the right side of the system and 7 each rows on the left side of the system.

Each row will be stacked 5ea positions high, for a total of 80 positons for storage.

The desired overall size of the Vertical Rack Storage System is 18’ 3 3/16” in height, 16’ 11” in width, and 49’ 5” in length.

Strut protectors are required.

Dunnage is not required.

Tine troughs will be built into the shelving of the vertical rack storage system.

There is no space between rows required for a fire suppression system – adequate fire suppression system already built into Bldg. 3403.

Anchoring hardware and shims for variance not exceeding 1”.

Provide material and labor for wiring from conductor to disconnect.

Provide and install all necessary outlets, power boxes, fuse boxes, etc.

Remove all debris.

Provide testing and demo of the vertical rack storage system.

Ground Safety:

The contractor will comply with all Federal, State, Local, safety regulations, and all applicable

Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Standards and local regulations. If there is a conflict between Air Force, Army, or Navy safety regulations and OSHA Standards, then applicable Air Force safety regulations will take precedence.

Deliverables:

Delivery shall occur within 8 - 12 weeks of award. Installation shall be complete within 20 business days of delivery.
