Premise Wiring Project

Questions and Responses

Q1) Do we need to charge you a sales tax on this project?

R1) No, Government is tax exempt.

Q2) Scope of work, note 3.5, asking to create new comm rooms. Do we need to install walls, build physically new rooms?

R2) No, you will have to install the equipment racks as per the FT Bragg standard, as provided in the

SOW.

Q3) Scope of work, note 3.5, asking to create new comm rooms: do we just use existing rooms to install Network equipment?

R3) Yes.

Q4) Sketch 1 is low quality image and does not show where “commander’s conference room” and “aircrew briefing room” are. Can you please clarify their locations?

R4) Refer to drawings provided in Amendment 01.

Q5) Note 3.2: I see a floor plan on page 10 but the following is unclear:

a. How many TR’s are there on this project? 2 ea TR’s to be built and lines switched from potentially 3 existing TR’s.

b. Where are they located? 1st floor of the building.

c. Where is the switchgear room located that would ultimately feed the new panelboard(s)? The building’s Command Post IT rack.

d. Are there electrical specifications to review? Power is already at locations however grounding of the cabinets is a must; Power requirements start at SOW Section 3.1.

R5) The Government response is provided above for each sub-question in bold and underlined. In addition, Attachment 4 is provided for additional location information. The red highlighted area on the drawings are where new TR’s will be, and the one blue highlighted area is where the old one currently is at that needs to be moved to the red areas.

Q6) Note 3.3:

a. is there a drawing that shows the layout and size of a typical TR? Yes, refer to the SOW, page 16.

b. Please confirm the QTY of TR rooms that are part of the project and provide proposed floor plans showing all equipment for each to properly determine electrical requirements. Refer to Response 5a and Attachment 4 provided as part of this amendment.

R6) The Government response is provided above for each sub-question in bold and underlined.

Q7) …We would like to confirm if the Pope Army Airfield project is to be run as a prevailing wage project and/or if certified wage reports will be required by your dept.

R7) As documented in the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation, the awarded contract is subject to FAR 52.222-41, Service Contract Labor Standards. The current Wage Determination is 2015-4377, Revision 13, dated 12/21/2020. A copy can be downloaded at beta.SAM.gov and is provided as Attachment 5 of this Amendment.
