Text version

The following are the questions (and their responses) submitted in relation to FA4452-12-R-0022 as of 12 Apr 2012:

Q. Who is the current incumbent?

A. Atlas Air Inc.

Q. What is the current contract number?

A. FA4452-08-D-0001

Q. In the CLINs, Pilot (X001 and X003) and FE (X002 and X004) training is broken out by individual crew positions but in PWS para 2.1 and 2.2 are a single course. Would the Government consider consolidating the Pilot and FE initial training into a single CLIN and do the same for the refresher training?

A. The Government doesn’t always have pilot and FE students available to pair for training.

Having two CLINs allows flexibility in scheduling based upon needs and simplifies the invoicing and payment process in these situations.

Q. What is the reasoning for the word “four twelve-month option periods” rather than four 1-year option periods?

A. “Twelve-month option periods” and “one-year option periods” are interchangeable. I don’t know that there is a specific reasoning other than writer preference.

Q. Most RFPs have a volume, or part of a volume, dedicated to Past Performance. Why has Past Performance been omitted from this solicitation?

A. Past Performance will be evaluated to assist in determining contractor responsibility in accordance with FAR 9.104-1 but will not be included as a subfactor or rated. (Ref: RFP pg 39, FAR 52.212-2 paragraph A)

Q. When is the NLT date for submitting comments/questions?

A. You’re free to submit questions/comments up until the proposal due date listed on block 8 of the SF1449.
