STATEMENT OF WORK
CRANE/HOIST REPLACEMENT PURCHASE & INSTALLATION IN BUILDING 977, AIR FREIGHT TERMINAL
1. SCOPE: Vendor shall remove and dispose the existing 10 Ton Bridge Crane located in Building 977, Air Freight Terminal on Travis AFB, California. Vendor shall install new 10 ton wire rope trolley and hoist on the two existing monorails. Vendor shall replace existing 30 amp/250 volt safety switches and circuit breakers on new hoist. Vendor shall ensure smooth and safe operation of replacement hoists.
1.1 The vendor is responsible for supplying 10 ton crane/hoists, material, installation equipment, electrical supplies and labor necessary to perform all operations in accordance with this SOW.
1.2 Vendor’s hours of operations will be from Monday thru Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Clean up shall be done daily within these hours. Vendor may request extension of operating hours during time of installation. Accommodation will depend upon availability of personnel from requesting agency and to be determined by requesting agency’s point of contact (POC). Extension of operating hours must be requested by the vendor a minimum of 24 hours in advance.
2. LOCATION: Work on this 10 ton crane/hoist replacement project will be performed in the outsized cargo area of Building 977, Air Freight Terminal on Travis AFB, California.
2.1 Storage of cranes & equipment during installation may be on site in Building 977, Air Freight Terminal.
3. CRANE/ HOIST SPECIFICATIONS: Remove/dispose old hoist and install new hoist.
3.1 Quantity: 1 Wire Rope Hoists with Pendant Controls suspended from Hoist
3.2 Capacity: 20,000 lbs/10 tons
3.3 Hoisting Speed: 2.7 feet per minute
3.4 Trolley Transversing Speed: 100 feet per minute
3.5 Lifting Height: 32 feet ’
4. BRIDGE CRANE AND ELECTRICAL INFO:
4.1 Existing bridge crane has rated capacity of 10 tons
4.2 Bridge crane rails length: 150’
4.3 Bridge crane voltage: 3 Phase / 460 V / 60 Hz, 115 V Control
4.4 Hoist electrical safety switch boxes (30 Amp/250Volt) are mounted below hoist on adjacent vertical I-beams.
5. LOAD TESTING:
5.1 Test operation of new hoist.
5.2 Re-certify crane weight limits on new system.
5.3 Vendor shall obtain California OSHA Third Party 125% Load Test Certification.
6. WARRANTY:
6.1 Hoist Equipment should be warranted for at least 36 months on drives and 12 months against all defects in workmanship.
7. TRAINING:
7.1 Train 7 aerial port personnel on operation of new hoists.
7.2 Provide service manuals for routine maintenance and inspection.
