Statement of Work (SOW) for Aerospace Ground Equipment Shop Equipment Megalift Upgrade for Travis AFB, 60 MXS/MXMG:
1.0. Description of Requirement. The primary objective of this statement of work is to provide an outline of the removal of the 2 existing Megalift systems and the installation of one new Megalift machine, in accordance with the manufacturers and standard commercial practice.
1.1. Vendor shall provide supervision, personnel, maintenance equipment, transportation, tools, and labor necessary to remove old equipment and install new equipment as noted above as prescribed in this SOW. The vendor will provide all required safety equipment. All equipment used under this contract shall meet all OSHA, EPA, and or any other applicable guidelines. All safety equipment must be used for its intended and designed purpose. Unsafe acts by the vendor will be reported to vendor supervision and 60 CONS and may be grounds for contract cancelation.
1.1.1. The vendor will not use any government equipment or personnel in the performance of their duties unless section supervision determines it is required for the completion of this SOW.
1.2. The contactor will provide at no expense to the government the repair or replacement of components and equipment due to abuse, misuse, mishandling or neglected maintenance of the vendor or by those employed by the vendor.
2.0. Required Megalift Equipment Specifications and Services Bldg. 564.
2.1. Megamat RS650 Vertical Carousel (Quantity 1):
2.1.1. Overall Unit Size 140.7”W x 19’ 10.6”H x 67.4”D (80”D w/work counter)
2.1.2. Each unit Includes 20 Carriers, 112.2”W x 24.7”D, 1,433 lb. capacity per carrier
2.1.2.1. (16) Carriers single level. Clear Height of 17.72”
2.1.2.2. (10) Carriers includes (2) additional tiers. Three clear shelf levels of 5.61” per carrier
2.1.2.3. (14) Carriers includes (1) additional tier. Two clear shelf levels of 8.6” per carrier
2.1.2. 654.7 Sq. Ft. Storage Per Unit/568.4 Cu. Ft. Per Unit
2.1.3. Manual Handcrank, Front Light
2.1.4. Standard Single Access Opening
2.1.5. Two (2) Years Parts and Labor Warranty
2.2. Molded Totes:
2.2.1. Flexcon Remstore Tote, 24”D x 7.9”W x 4”H
2.2.1.1 Total of 294 totes w/4 divider(s) per tote
2.3. Mechanical and Electrical Equipment Installation
2.4. Existing Unit Removal
Removal and disposal of two existing Vertical lift Machines from Travis Air Force Base.
2.5. Installation includes final operational checks of all equipment items.
3.0. Consumable and non-consumable parts. All equipment will require both parts changed for preventative maintenance. Consumable parts are defined as parts that are used up during the operation of the booth. Consumable parts include filters, door seals, and blaster gloves. Non-consumable parts are defined as parts that need changed due to the failure of the part on an unscheduled basis.
4.0. General Information
4.1. Recognized Holidays: The contractor may be required to perform service on holidays including but not limited to:
New Year's Day Birthday of Martin Luther King Jr.
President's Day Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Columbus Day Veteran's Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day
4.2. Hours of Operation: The contractor is responsible for conducting business with the individual purchased maintenance plans, except when government facility is closed due to local or national emergencies, administrative closing, or similar government directed facility closing. The contractor shall not be reimbursed when the government facility is closed for the above reasons
4.3. Worker's Health and Safety: The contractor shall comply with all applicable Federal, State and local legal requirements regarding workers' health and safety. The contractor is solely responsible for determining the legal and safety requirements that apply to his/her activities. These include but are not limited to all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety rules and regulations, arc flash training, personal protection training and equipment to protect themselves and others from unsafe work conditions. The contractor shall report any accidents or OSHA violations immediately to the appropriate authorities and within 24 hours to the PCO.
4.4. Security Requirements: The contractor shall comply with all security controls directed by the Government Site POC (i.e. Facility Manager).and or Program Manager.
5.0. Government Property Damage: The contractor shall record and report, within 24 hours, to the PCCIE Program Manager, PCO and designated government site POC, all available facts relating to each instance of accidental damage to government property or injury to either contractor or government personnel. The contractor shall not perform any work on the damaged equipment/property until released by an authorized government representative. If the government elects to conduct an investigation of the accident, the contractor shall cooperate fully and assist the government personnel until the investigation is completed.
5.1. Damage to Property or Equipment: The Contractor, at their own expense, shall repair any damage to Government property or equipment that can be attributed to the Contractor. Said repairs shall be made by a skilled workman, and to the satisfaction or the Contracting Officer or a designated representative.
