11 SOIS Operations Floor Adjustable Computer Console Requirement Statement of Work

1.0 Scope

This specification establishes the minimum requirements for purchase and installation of adjustable height computer tables. Product shall be Americon Omni adjustable height workstations, item 1ER5 or equal. This requirement includes the following:

24 X 5’ x 5’ adjustable height corner computer desks with two 45 degree angles, as shown below.

43 X 5’ x 3’ adjustable height desks with electric raise/lower slat wall The spaces where the desks will be installed are specific and fixed. There is no room for variance, so the desk measurements must represent the exact footprint of the desks.

Delivery, installation and warranty

2.0 Specific Requirements

2.1 Raise/lower mechanism shall be designed for 24/7 use and offer durability and lasting quality due to steel infrastructure and steel to steel connections.

2.2 Surfaces shall be minimum 45 pound density 1” thick wood core material which is finished on all exposed sides and edges with hermetically sealed laminate substrate. The backing material for the consoles shall be phenolic. Laminates are required to be non-glare matt finish of high pressure that exceeds ANSI-BIFMA safety and performance standards. Surface color will be in the gray family, and upon award of the contract the user will approve the final color. All exposed surfaces and edges shall be covered with a bull nosed T-edge that resists cracking chipping, abrasion, or deformation.

2.3 Thirty one of the 5’ x 3’ Consoles shall have a 16”-18” tall and 6” deep lockable slat system and three individual monitor arms for three 27”inch monitors.

2.4 Twelve of the 5’ x 3’ Consoles shall have a 16”-18” tall and 6” deep lockable slat system and three individual monitor arms for four 27”inch monitors.

2.5 Corner Consoles shall have a 16” – 18” tall and 6” lockable deep slat system and four individual monitor arms for three 27” inch monitors

2.6 All slat walls will be keyed to the same key, which will also open the CPU cabinets.

2.7 The slat walls shall be hollow and contain a vented equipment cabinet accessible from the front and back and with one 6 outlet power strips mounted on each side, for a total of two power strips.

2.8 The slat wall equipment cabinet will raise up out of the slat wall to access equipment from the front.

2.9 Slat wall access doors shall have durable accordion hinges; chain hinges are not acceptable.

2.10 There shall be a 1 inch gap between the slat wall and the table top to accommodate cables with a brush or clothe cover.

2.11 Requirements for the adjustable height desks

2.11.1 The entire consoles shall lift, and not just the tabletop.

2.11.2 Up and down controls shall be electronic, with easy to use, intuitive controls.

2.11.3 Console shall not use computer software to control the height.

2.11.4 The console shall have two (2) lifting columns with a lifting weight capacity of 300lbs. minimum.

2.11.5 The console shall have a static load capacity of 500 lbs to prevent damage from users sitting on, leaning on or technician crawling or standing to access equipment.

2.11.6 The console must rise to at least 42” and lower to 28”.

2.12 Consoles shall have a vented, lockable CPU cabinets at least 52” long and 13” deep with two CPU caddies and two perforated laptop trays at least 20” wide, 16” deep and 3” in height clearance from the top of the cabinet.

2.13 All console locks will be keyed the same, and also open the slat wall cabinets.

2.14 CPU cabinets shall have front and back access and not impede with leg swing.

2.15 CPU cabinets shall include cable management features that allow cords to accordion upon raising and lowering of the unit.

2.16 CPU cabinets shall have at least two 6 outlet power strip.

2.17 CPU cabinets shall be supported with durable accordion hinges when opened; chain hinges are not acceptable.

2.18 The consoles and cabinets shall be compatible with under floor electric supply.

2.19 The horizontal supports shall rest at least one inch off the ground to allow wire management to existing holes in the raised floor.

2.20 Cantilevered keyboard work surface shall not be acceptable for durability and safety purposes.

2.21 The consoles shall be compatible in function, performance and appearance to the unit’s existing Americon Omni adjustable height workstations, item 1ER5.

2.22 Contractor shall accomplish a site survey of the facility prior to beginning production.

3.0 Product Illustrations

The vendor shall provide detailed line drawings, and at least three photo or video examples of the product during the bidding stage.

4.0 Product Installation

The installation will take place in a classified, secure environment which conducts 24/7 operations that cannot withstand significant downtime. Trained professionals should perform the installation and adhere to all security practices, which will be briefed to them prior to installation. The contractor shall supply fully assembled products at time of delivery. 17 existing consoles will be re-used, and the contractor shall be responsible for repositioning them, confined to the same floor within 100 yards. The contractor shall provide and install all components, hardware and parts necessary for the proper assembly, installation and operation. Contractor shall provide a list of deliverables on the project quotation. The Contractor shall furnish all missing components, hardware or parts within seven days. The contractor shall remove 72 existing computer consoles. The contractor is responsible for the storage and disposal of existing consoles, as there is no storage in the facility. The installation will be completed within 30 days according to a phased schedule. The vendor will be required to remove one room of furniture (6 stationary consoles) on one day and install one room of furniture (8 adjustable height consoles) the following day. This schedule will repeat until the installation is concluded and will take 30 days. Installation hours will be Monday to Friday, 0730-1530. The installation shall take place on the second floor. The building does have a passenger elevator in order to install new and remove old tables. Post installation inspection will be conducted by an 11 SOIS representative to ensure full compliance of the floor plan, console design and materials specified. Any inconsistencies will be noted and repaired within two weeks. If any inconsistency renders the work environment unusable, contractor will replace the existing computer table(s) to prevent mission interruption

4.0 Product Servicing and Warranty

The contractor shall provide at a minimum five-year warranty service. Defective components and parts shall be repaired or replaced within two weeks of warranty request at no additional cost, including freight. Normal wear and tear is exempt.

5.0 Delivery

The contractor shall manufacture, deliver and start the install the products requested within eight weeks of contract award.
