QUESTION(S) & ANSWER(S) # 1

FA441718Q0241; TSCIFs

• Contractor Question # 1: The solicitation specifies in CLIN 1 that each shelter system should include a 30kW skid mounted generator. Can you please confirm that you require six (6) total 30kw generators?

• Government Answer # 1: Yes, we require a generator for each shelter

• Contractor Question # 2: Regarding the 60 Amp shelter power distribution unit (PDU):

Is the electrical power distribution system that you are requesting designed to be inside the shelter and receive power through the 60 Amp cables (50’L) from the generator? Or are you requesting a PDU that will sit outside the shelter system and receive power from the generator and then distribute that power to the ECU through the 60 Amp cables (50’L)? We would like to clarify whether this is an internal power distribution unit, or an external power distribution unit.

• Government Answer # 2: We need a PDU, if it is outside then it must be water/weather proof..

• Contractor Question # 3: Do you want the electrical distribution unit to be able to go back and forth through the ports on the shelter system? Or do you just want the cable that hooks to the power distribution panel to be able to pass through the ports?

• Government Answer # 3: We want power in the shelter...we are willing to look at a diagram of a proposal.

• Contractor Question # 4: It is our understanding that we would supply cable from generator to PDU, a cable from PDU to ECU, and a cable from PDU to a internal power distribution panel for the shelter, and we would also include the power distribution panel that is inside the shelter. Is this correct?

• Government Answer # 4: Yes, you will supply everything to route/provide power from the generator to a plugs within the shelter.

• Contractor Question # 5: Will delivery be made to one location where the Government will then consolidate all items and then ship the appropriate items to the 3 locations?

• Government Answer # 5: No, the contractor shall ship the appropriate items directly to their destinations (Hurlburt, Cannon, and Mildenhall).
