1 Special Operations Wing Civil Engineering Dormitory

Integrated Furniture Requirement Statement of Work

(SOW)

26 June 2016

01.00 SCOPE

This specification establishes the MINIMUM requirements for purchase and installment of dormitory window coverings for the Hurlburt Field dormitories. The selected dormitories have a combined total of 680 rooms and shall be furnished with one Hunter Douglas RB-500 metal architectural clutch and roller system with manual chain control per room. The material quality listed or better, including but not limited to: Thick 4-ply vinyl Blackout material , side u-channels, bottom u-channel and top fascia. The shades will be inside mounted.

Requirements for these shades are as follows: Side and bottoms u-channels shall be made of aluminum or steel and be at least 2 inches wide with synthetic pile inserts. The clutch shall be aluminum or steel with a stainless steel bead chain.

03.00 GENERIC REQUIREMENTS NOT BY ROOM.

03.10 PRODUCT INSTALLATION

The contractor shall provide not only installation of all components, hardware and parts necessary for a proper assembly, installation and operation and list them on the Project Quotation as well as removal of old window coverings and hardware. The Contractor shall furnish all missing components, hardware or parts. The buildings do not have elevators so the contractor is to provide a lift in order to install new and remove old blinds. The existing blinds

(one inch mini blinds) to be removed from occupied rooms. Blinds will be disposed of in dormitory dumpsters.

- The contractor will be delivering to all locations. The intent is for them to deliver and install in each room. There are 2 buildings for each dorm with 3 floors for each building.

There are no elevators for the dorms, which the contractor needs to understand, and they will need to provide a lift capable of delivery and removal of shades and equipment to the 2nd and 3rd floors.

03.20 REQUIRED SITE VISIT

The contractor shall attend a site visit, at an agreed upon time, after contract award and before any delivery takes place.

03.30 PRODUCT SERVICING AND WARRANTY

The contractor shall provide at a minimum 10 year warranty service. Defective Components and parts shall be repaired or replaced as soon as possible but within a reasonable amount of time, at no additional cost, including freight. Normal wear and tear is exempt.
