Amendment 3: Site Visit Questions

Q: Do the trees have to be chipped on site?

A: The trees need to be chipped and disposed of within St. Clair County.

Q: When is the Period of Performance?

A: The project must be completed on or before 30 September 2019.

Q: Can the road be blocked for tree removal?

A: Yes, just coordinate through Justus Upperman.

Q: Can the bollards come down to get access to the courtyard at building 1900?

A: Yes they can, coordinate with Justus.

Q: Can we work on the weekend?

A: Weekend work is allowed.

Q: How many phases will this project consist of?

A: 3 phases

Q: Do we get dig permits from the CE office?

A: Yes, coordinate Justus Upperman.

Q: We understand the new seed is to be watered upon installation. Please clarify what is means when it says, Initial watering will be considered as the period until the sod or grass is considered completely installed and has taken to existing soil. (Pg 3 of SOW, Section 1.2) A: The seed needs to be watered until the grass takes root. See POC: Justus Upperman to determine if sufficient watering has taken place.

Q: Does the seed need to be watered every day even if it rains?

A: No, if it rains watering will not be needed for that day.

Q: Is the watering to be done once upon installation?

A: Watering does start once the seed is put down.

Q: Will water be available on site or will the contractor need to provide their own water source?

A: Water will have to be brought in by the contractor.

Q: Will the bid be awarded in full to one contractor or is there a chance it could be separated/partially awarded to multiple contractors?

A: Awarded to only one contractor for this phase.
