STATEMENT OF WORK

FOR

AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL TOWER SEE-THRU WINDOW SHADES

14 May 2018

GENERAL – PART I

1.1. GENERAL: This Statement of Work (SOW) defines the scope and requirements of work to provide all plant, labor, material, equipment, and transportation required to replace, measure, deliver and install a total of 136 (82 upper and 54 lower) See-Thru Window Shades at 6 Runway Control Structures on Laughlin Air Force Base (LAFB), TX, and the Auxiliary field in Spofford, TX.

1.2. WORK SCHEDULE, PLANS AND WORKING HOURS: Work days for this contract will be

Monday through Friday between the hours of 0730 and 1600 (7:30 AM and 4:00 PM). The facility will be occupied during the hours of work. The contractor shall coordinate with the Government to minimize interference with space occupants. All work is inside the building. The Government does not anticipate a requirement for any work during other than normal business hours in order to meet project timelines.

1.3. AVAILABILITY OF UTILITY SERVICES: All reasonable quantities of utilities will be made available to the contractor. The Government shall not be held responsible for interruptions of utility services, and will not be liable for contractor delays, damages, or increased cost incurred by any such interruption of service.

1.4. CLEAN-UP: All debris and rubbish not specified to become Government property resulting from the installation will be disposed of by the contractor off Government property. Disposal will be in compliance with Federal, state and local hauling and disposal regulations.

1.5. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: Safety requirements are outlined in the applicable sections of

Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Regulations. OSHA regulations are available for review at the Base Safety Office. The contractor shall ensure that any lifting devices or ladders meet any and all applicable safety standards.

1.6. SITE CONDITIONS: The Contractor acknowledges satisfaction as to the nature and location of the work, the general and local conditions, access to job site; disposal, handling and storage of materials;

availability of labor, water, electric power or similar physical conditions at LAFB; the character of equipment and facilities needed preliminary to and during the performance of the work; and all other matters that can in any way affect the work or the cost thereof under this requirement.

1.7. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED EQUIPMENT/MATERIALS: The Government will furnish no equipment or materials for this requirement.

TECHNICAL – PART II

2.1. WINDOW SHADES: Contractor shall replace, measure, furnish and install new window shades with the following:

DIMENSIONS:

2.1.1 Contractor will be required to measure 136 windows to obtain correct dimensions.

SPECIFICATIONS:

2.1.2. Shades shall be .125mm to .2mm thick.

2.1.3. Must open and close manually via a string or rope and pulley system that is under constant tension to prevent shade contact with windows.

2.1.4. Separate shades shall be installed on the side windows and separate shades shall be installed for the upper windows.

2.1.5. Must meet FAA 12 24 12, FAA-ANI-300-380, and FAA-E2470b-F72SR. CONTRACTOR

MUST SUBMIT PRODUCT DATA SHEET STATING COMPLIANCE WITH ALL FAA

REQUIREMENTS

2.1.6. Must be installed by an authorized installer.

2.2 DEVIATIONS: Any deviations from the specifications listed above must be approved in writing by the Contracting Officer.
