Questions and Answers #2
1. Can you confirm that maple hardwood veneers are acceptable instead of melamine as the material for the body of both the podium and desk?
Yes, maple hardwood veneers are acceptable.
2. Can you indicate if you want doors or no doors on the podium?
There are to be doors on the podium and they should have the ability to lock.
5. If the podium has full access doors and is attached to the desk, you would not be able to open one of the doors completely. Is that acceptable?
The doors would be fully functional doors. Therefore they would need to be able to fully open to be acceptable. In addition, the podium does not have to “attach” to the desk, it must be able to sit up flush (desktop overhang) to the instructor desk on the right side
6. Your salient characteristics require a CPU tower holder. Should this be a stand-alone product or attached underneath the desk? If attached to the desk, which side?
The CPU tower holder would be on the left side of the desk by the leg area. The CPU holder can be an optional modular piece the user can install.
7. Given that there will be a CPU tower holder underneath the desk, would it be desirable/acceptable to have a straight lined side panel desk wall instead of the curved version?
It would be acceptable to have a straight lined side panel
8. The desk has an overhang on each side. This will cause a gap between the desk outer panel, and the podium wall when the podium is attached. Is this acceptable, or would you like the desktop to be flush with the desk wall on the side that the podium will be attached?
The desk and podium do not have to be attachable, it is acceptable to have the podium sit up flush with the desk overhang.
9. Do you have a preference for which side of the desk the podium should be attachable?
The podium does not have to be attachable to the desk. It is acceptable to have the podium sit flush with the desk overhang. The podium sitting flush with the right side of the desk is the configuration that will be used.
