Questions and Answers
Q1: Are the amounts for one full year or approximate pickup amount each time?
A1: The estimated amounts are for one full year. The esimated amounts are not to exceed (NTE) the amounts of the contract. If amounts were to exceed the estimate, a modification of the contract would be required.
Q2. What is the current value of the old contract?
A2. The current bridge contract, includes both Lackland and Randolph laundry services, not just Lackland, so it is not a good comparison.
Q3. Who is the incumbent?
A3. The incumbent vendor, Sunshine Laundry, is no longer listed in the reps and certs in the System for Award Management (SAM) as a Small Business under the NAICS 812320, and is ineligible for award. The solicitation is 100 percent Small Business set-aside.
Q4: What is the turnaround time I see the pickup is one day after the call from COR, but does the delivery have to be made?
A4: By reg, the turnaround time for delivery is three business days.
Q5. Should we also include an individual price quote for all line items?
A5. The offeror shall insert proposed unit and extended prices for each Contract Line Item Number (CLIN), including all option periods. All unit prices must be rounded to no more than 2 decimal places. The extended amount must equal the whole dollar unit price multiplied by the number of units. The proposal must be submitted for a base plus four (4) option year periods.
Q6: Is this a follow-on requirement? If so, could you please provide the incumbent contract number for this opportunity?
A6: Yes. This is a follow on requirement. The current contract, FA3016-14-P-0078, includes both Lackland and Randolph laundry services, not just Randolph, so it is not a good comparison.
Q7: Is this a new requirement?
A7: No, this is a follow-on requirement. It will be a new contract, but it is not a new requirement.
Q8: Is there a site visit?
Q9: A site visit will be held at Lackland AFB on 20 April 2016, Wednesday, at 10 a.m. Interested parties should meet in front of the Gateway Club for the site visit. Base access should be requested in advance from the Contract Specialist, Lance Holmes, lance.holmes@us.af.mil Please provide date of birth, state driver’s license number, and full name for each person coming on base.
