Q1. Must the external training rig be mounted to the external sidewalls of the container with the legs touching the ground, for safety and stability purposes?
A1. Yes the recommendation is that all strength training equipment be secured to the floor to prevent tipping, rocking or displacement which might occur in the event of unanticipated use of the equipment.
Q2. Will offerors that attach the external squat racks/rigging to any other portion of the container (that is not the side walls) be deemed technically unacceptable?
A2. Please review Salient Characteristics: The external squat racks should be available.
Q3. Will offers that do not include a NATO Air Port Certification be deemed technically unacceptable?
A3. Please review Salient Characteristics.
Q4. Do all proposals need to utilize 3” x 3”, 7‐gauge steel with a minimum grade of S235 or A283C for the external steel rigging components to be considered?
A4. No
Q5. Is on‐site installation/train the trainer course required for this RFQ?
A5. Please review Salient Characteristics: Train the trainer is not deemed necessary.
Q6. Is a lime‐time warranty on the external functional training rig and a minimum of one‐year warranty on the accessories a requirement for any bid submitted?
A6. Minimum of one year warranty
Q7. Will proposals that do not include the items as listed in the minimum component listing of the RFQ, be deemed technically unacceptable?
A7. Please review Salient Characteristics.
Q8. Will proposals that offer external rigging that is not hot‐dip galvanized steel to American Standard ASTM A 123/A 123M be deemed technically unacceptable?
A8. The purpose of the galvanized steel is to help prevent premature rust and corrosion.
