ADDENDUM #1

The following sheet has been changed in the construction documents for the following project:

MAHG11-1046 Repair Parking Lots Basewide

KEESLER AFB, MISSISSIPPI

Any information found within these documents shall take precedent over the information contained within the original construction documents. It is the responsibility of the contractor to review the documents and to include any revised or additional information in their proposal.

Changes to the Scope of Work:

Section 3.2.4 Replace note 1 with:

1. Working times will include weekends and afterhours to accommodate facilitate users. Weekend and afterhour work must be identified in the Pre-Construction meeting and noted in the schedule prior to any work starting. Contractor will coordinate schedule with Contracting Officer’s representative and each facility manager. Schedule shall include 30 day preliminary date work will start on various Facility Parking Areas, and 14 day firm start date. Schedule will be coordinated with Security Forces, Base Leadership each Facility manager and others. Security Forces and Base Leadership require 14 days notice prior to any work starting. Contractor will review Schedules weekly with Contracting Officer, Security Forces and others when work is in progress. All schedules will be approved by Contracting Officer.

Add note 1a:

1a. Typical parking lots can be accomplished in a single phase. The following parking lots may take up to the noted number of phases: 404- 2 phases, 2504/05- 2 phases, 3501- 3 phases, 1505- 4 phases

Delete note 11.

Replace note 12 with:

12. Replace (A) Express Shops Meadows Drive East Entrance & (B) Express Shops/Bank Meadows Drive West Entrance Asphalt Paving with Reinforced Structural Concrete Paving as shown on Plans. Contractor to Furnish existing and proposed centerline profile with grades relative to existing for approval prior to starting work on Alternate. Work to include all excavation, crushed limestone base, compaction, reinforcing, concrete, accessories, site work including all required excavation and solid grass sod, and Traffic Control as shown, indicated and called for on plans.

Replace Section 3.3 with: Performance Time: 210 days after “Notice to Proceed; has been signed.

Replace Section 3.8 with:

3.8 HOURS OF OPERATION: The Contractor will be able to accomplish this work between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The Contractor will not normally be permitted to work on weekends or on the following legal holidays (or the day the Federal Government observes these holidays) unless he has coordinated such work with the contract representative at least 2 weeks in advance and was approved during the Pre-Construction meeting:

a. New Year's Day f. Labor Day

b. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s Birthday g. Columbus Day

c. Washington's Birthday h. Veteran's Day

d. Memorial Day

i. Thanksgiving Day

e. Independence Day

j. Christmas Day

The following days are not legal holidays but may require work stoppage: Special Olympics- Thursday through Sunday of First NON-Training weekend in May

Changes to the drawings:

Typical:

All notes referencing Re-Marking of parking lots shall add the following: New markings shall be applied using Standard Traffic paint.

Delete all references to base bid and any alternates.
