QUESTIONS and ANSWERS:

SOLICITATION: FA286020Q0031, PII SHREDDING

1. What type of containers do the facilities currently have? Executive consoles or 64g rolling bins?

ANSWER: We currently have 64 gallon rolling bins and would like the same on this proposed contract. They are configured with a locking mechanism and opening on top to allow the customer to drop the PII/PHI contents into the bin.

2. Under general requirement, the work statements mentions:

“hard copy media, paper, floppy disks, computer drives, tapes, microfilm, microfiche, audiotapes, videotapes, CD's, DVD's, Mylar, stored data, disks and diskettes, and other similar items.”

These non-paper materials will contaminate the paper for recycling when placed in same bins as paper. 5 of so CD, floppy disks will be ok but if there is a lot of this material it will need to be placed in a separate bins.

2a. How much non-paper material will be collected?

2b. If there are Hard drives can a separate line item be added and please provide the estimated quantity of Hard Drives the base expects.

2c. Can a line item be added for other media items and please provide the estimated quantity of media expected.

ANSWER: In regards to aforementioned verbiage within the PWS and questions 2a, 2b and 2c, the PWS requirements no longer contain these items for shredding or destruction. Only paper materials will be disposed of and have a need for shredding. See updated PWS labeled (Sept 2020). All of question #2 can be disregarded based on the updated PWS requirements.

3. Is there a current contract in place? If yes what is the contract award ID?

ANSWER: There is no contract currently in place. The previous contract was FA286019CA035--which is now terminated.
