STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW)

THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF A CORRUGATED BOX MAKER LOCATED AT BUILDING 613 ON

EGLIN AFB FLORIDA

Purpose:

To replace and install corrugated box maker for the 96 Logistics Readiness Squadron’s Transportation

Management Office (TMO).

Background:

The existing box maker is 14 years old and requires replacement to keep up with industry standards.

Upgrading software is not cost effective due to limiting availability of component parts for current machine. The box maker is essential in constructing special packaging instruction (SPI) requirements

IAW the Defense Transportation Regulation/Air Force Instructions and Regulations to protect and preserve over 3K high dollar shipments; including MICAPs, Arms/Ammunitions & Explosives, and sensitive repairable assets for outbound shipment.

Scope of Work to be performed:

Contractor shall provide materials, supervision, tools, installation, labor, training, and materials to install and make operational the corrugated box maker. Contractor shall provide all transportation and delivery services to install one corrugated box maker within the designated location in Building 613.

The following are requirements for the corrugated box maker purchase and installation:

The corrugated box maker shall be equivalent or greater than the T-ROC Model ABM72-3H

Box maker shall be able to cut, slot, crease, and process single wall corrugated fiberboard

(Grade V3C).

Box maker shall be able to cut, slot, crease, and process double wall corrugated fiberboard

(Grade V11C).

Digital entry and display for quick entry and recall of box data.

The requirements for corrugated box maker shall produce containers styles, weather resistant corrugated fiberboard sheet stock meeting established criteria in ASTM-D-4727 V3C single wall, ASTM-D-5118 V11c double wall.

Feed Extension Table.

The box maker shall accept a width of 72” wide sheets of fiberboard.

Uses compressed air 80 PSI

Must have the ability to make an average of 200 boxes per month using the following box styles:

- (RSC) regular silted container. Also 2-part and 4-part.

- (RSCVF) regular silted container variable flap.

- (FOL) full overlap container. Also 2-part.

- (THS) telescope half silted. Also 2-part and 4-part.

- (HSC) half silted box with cover. Also 4-part.

- (DC) double cover box.

- (TD) telescope design box.

- (FPF) five panel folder.

- (FPFCF) five panel folder with center flap.

- (TRAY) tray style.

- (M-PAD/SCORE) multiple pad or score.

- (1P-T) one piece telescope.

- (1P-F) one piece folder.

- (PAD) cut to size pad.

- (2P-FOL-XD) full overlap container.

- (2P-RSC-XD) regular silted container.

- (DIVIDER) divider looped.

- (NOTCH DIVIDER) ten notch divider.

Responsibilities of the Customer A. The customer will provide electrical power for the box machine at 208-230 VAC 20 amp single phase.

B. The customer will make available air pressure line (80 psi) for the box maker.

C. The customer will provide sufficient corrugated board stock to run machine during operating training.

D. The customer will make available, at no cost to the contractor, electricity for contractor connection at customer provided work areas.

Training

On-site training will be provided by the contractor at the time of installation. Training will include operation and maintenance of the box making machine. All training shall be conducted by individuals well qualified in training matters, operation, and maintenance of the box making machine.

Warranty

Notwithstanding inspection and acceptance by the Government or any provision of this contract concerning the conclusiveness thereof, the Contractor shall warranty for a period of one year after final acceptance by the Government of the systems furnished and installed under this contract that the system will be free from defects in materials, workmanship, or requirements. During the warranty period and in the event the Contractor is not able to make remedial action himself; he shall make arrangements to have the work accomplished. The Contractor shall furnish to the Contracting Officer the name and address of the selected individual and/or firm who can arrive at building 613 at Eglin AFB, Florida within 48 hours after notification of equipment breakdown to perform the necessary repairs.

Place of Performance

The Contractor shall install the equipment at building 613 Eglin AFB, Florida.
