Q: Fuel tank? Do you require any fuel tanks or fuel system?
A: No fuel tank required
Q: Do you have any drawings of the current target boats that you can provide?
A: No drawings. We have photos of past purchased models.
Q: No engine is included in the characteristics, however, the following is stated "Transom: Structurally sound and designed for engine mounting." Since these boats are not identified as Towed Targets, is there an engine requirement? If no engine is to be included, but possibly added later, what would be the preferred engine (diesel?, gas?, inboard type? or outboard type?). How many? Preferred HP? This will have bearing on the design and engineering effort.
A: No engine requirement, however, we would like the transom to be intact to support the weight of an outboard gasoline engine should a future need arise.
Q: It is assumed that the Boat Weight is defined at 5,500 lbs max. Is this the weight at Light Condition (boat ready for service, including fluids for machinery, but without any item of variable load - No fuel, no personnel and cargo)?
A: This is hull only weight, to include center console.
Q: Depending on the type of engine requirement, an average lead time for machinery, FRP materials and electrical components is between 45 to 60 days. Can the 90 day delivery requirement be extended to 150 days?
A: There is no engine requirement at this time.
Q: Is used acceptable?
A: No
Q: length = 6"-12" is a question.
A: Draft 6'-12'
Q: Also I did not see any information regarding engines or speed, Am I to understand that these boats are strictly bare hulls and all of the engines and controls will be installed by the USAF?
A: Yes bare hull. No engine required. This is for towing only.
