PAFB/CCAFS Armories
1) What On SSI Software version is being used at the Armory and BNOC locations at both Patrick and Cape locations?
A: Client side uses Ocularis 4.0
2) Can any of the existing Ethernet networks available for this camera project? Can the Contractor use any existing CAT5e or CAT6 cables (hardware cables only) to form a separate network for these cameras for each location?
A: No part of the camera system my interface with the existing Ethernet network. Contractor may not use existing Cat 5/6 cables.
3) During the site visit, there were discussions among all personnel. Can the Government update the quantities, including the Youth Center? The costs for cameras are not nominal, and cameras at far concerns will require considerate amount of time to prepare cabling, etc..
A: See question 10 for specific numbers/types of cameras
4) Can drawings be provided that show locations and distances?
A: Facility layouts are available which show the original intended placement of cameras. However, these diagrams are not to scale.
5) Will the Government consider alternative products of equivalent or better performance?
A: Yes.
a) All Locations
i) Does this installation require all wiring in conduit?
A: Yes. Note: Government fiber between 60701 and 49750 provided.
ii) Can drawings be provided that show locations and distances
A: Rough floor plans can be provided but may not be to scale.
iii) Please Fixed and PTZ - specify specific product or functionality:

A: Based on vendor recommendation/proposal

A: Cameras will interface with existing servers.

A: Recording location are comm rooms in 1319 (PAFB) and 49750 (CCAFS)
6) Please provide manufacture name for the following named parts as described in Bldg. 60701, CCAFS:
A: Manufacturer is Axis. See question 10 for additional info
7) In regards to equipment manufacturers are we able to use any manufacture as long as it meets the requirements of the solicitation?
A: Yes. As long as proposed camera meets requirement and interfaces with existing system.
8) In regards to the cameras to be installed in the two armory buildings. The cameras are to be connected to customers existing servers. Will the contractor be responsible for the programming of the servers or are these servers limited to air-force use only and if so will the air-force be responsible for the programming.
A: Vendor is responsible for connecting and programming of camera. Vendor will be allowed access to existing server(s) as necessary to complete this task.
9) Are all building for local viewing only?
A: Amory monitoring station in 1319 and 60701 will only be able to monitor cameras installed as part of this project. Armory monitoring station will not be allowed to monitor existing cameras. Base Defense Operations Center will also be able to view/control armory cameras.
10) During the walk through the counts of equipment has changed please provide an updated list of cameras, monitors and size of monitors required per building.
A: Original proposal as request by SFS included the following:
Bldg 60701 (2) Axi Q6000-E Outdoor PTZ
(1) Axis P3300VE Fixed outdoor, dome
(5) Axis P3300V Fixed, indoor, dome Bldg 1319 (5) Axis P3300V Fixed, indoor , dome
(1) Axis P3300VE, Fixed outdoor, dome
Education and Training Center Questions
1) At the Education and Training Center, Clarifying: In addition to the exterior hallway cameras that were requested in the site visit, are all interior cameras and equipment to be changed out and upgraded?
a) Answer: Yes
2) Will visible conduit installation be approved to use on the underside of the exterior hallway ceilings for camera connectivity back to the monitoring equipment? If yes, will painting of the conduit to match the building exterior be required?
a) Answer: Yes
3) For Education Center, will end user/contracting allow Wireless Technologies/Applications? I have seen similar setups, including a daily use camera in Everglades National Park. The WIFI will have a battery pack for each camera. This WIFI method will eliminate significant conduit addition.
a) Answer: Yes; however, Education and Training Center controls all IP addresses.
4) Can any of the existing Ethernet networks available for this camera project? Can the Contractor use any existing
CAT5e or CAT6 cables (hardware cables only) to form a separate network for these cameras for each location?
a) Answer: No b) Answer: Yes

9) In regards to the education center are the existing cameras and wiring to be replaced? Also the installation of the new cameras in the corridor will require conduit to be installed to conceal the wiring for the new cameras will you require EMT or PVC conduit?
a) Answer: PVC conduit
10) In regards to equipment manufacturers are we able to use any manufacture as long as it meets the requirements of the solicitation?
a) Yes.
11) Are all building for local viewing only?
a) Yes, Education and Training Center viewing only
Youth Center Questions
1) At the Youth center what operating is on the existing computers that will monitor the Cameras? Can the specs (processor speed, memory) be given for these same computers?
2) Can any of the existing Ethernet networks available for this camera project? Can the Contractor use any existing CAT5e or CAT6 cables (hardware cables only) to form a separate network for these cameras for each location?
Yes. They have to run their own cables. We cannot use network infrastructure.
3) During the site visit, there were discussions among all personnel. Can the Government update the quantities, including the Youth Center? The costs for cameras are not nominal, and cameras at far concerns will require considerate amount of time to prepare cabling, etc..
Yes.
4) Will the Government consider alternative products of equivalent or better performance?
Yes.
5) All Locations,
a) Does this installation require all wiring in conduit? If the wiring is in the ceiling where it is not visible, then it doesn’t need to be in conduit
b) Can drawings be provided that show locations and distances? CE can provide drawings
c) Please Fixed and PTZ - specify specific product or functionality: Fixed
d) Please specify housing? Any
e) Please specify mounting? Any
f) Please specify monitoring location? One in the Directors Office, one in the School Age Coordinator’s
Office, one on the front desk on the School Age Program side, and one on the desk on the Youth Development side
g) Please specify recording location? On the desk in the School Age Program front desk area
i) Example issue - Education Center: Specified Vision 3MP IP CCTV, but am unable to determine product series: IP Cameras
6) During the walk through the counts of equipment has changed please provide an updated list of cameras, Add two monitors; one for the Director’s office and one for the School Age Coordinator’s Office Size Monitor: 22X14 Replacement of 16 cameras to where they are currently located. The replacement will include cameras with wide lensed angles
7) In regards to equipment manufacturers are we able to use any manufacture as long as it meets the requirements of the solicitation? Yes.
8) In regard to the youth center I just want to verify that we are replacing all cameras and installing new wire for the cameras. Yes
9) Are all building for local viewing only? Yes
Questions for Contracting
1) There are 4 locations, including BLDG 60701, BLDG 1318(including core switch relocate), Education Center, and Youth Center. Since the Youth Center is an unfunded option, can bidder propose the funded options as a package and then a separate quote for the Youth Center?
Yes; however, CONS prefers to have each location separately priced.
2) Pertaining to this solicitation, please describe the type of response you are looking for:
a) Detailed bill of material with part #’s
b) Spec sheets with each part
Both. We want a bill of material to include part numbers and pricing as well as spec sheets.
