Description: This is a Sources Sought Notice only. This is not a request for quote but a survey to locate potential sources to replace the hydraulic components of blast doors 1 and 2, including upgrading the electrical system to current standard at Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Stations (CMAFS), Colorado.
It is anticipated that the Government will post a Request for Quote (RFQ) that will include a Statement of Work (SOW). The sources sought is provided to help the Government determine the most appropriate avenue for this requirement. The 21st Contracting Squadron at Peterson Air Force Base (PAFB) Colorado seeks potential sources to provide replacement of the hydraulic components of blast doors 1 and 2, including upgrading the electrical system to current standards.
Description of work: The Contractor shall provide all management, labor, tools, equipment and materials necessary to remove one or more pin and bushing set(s) from each door, which will require back-engineer on-site, and then reinstall in the door so it can be returned to service.
Using these measurements, the contractor will generate models and drawings for the production of new components to ensure proper fit. Replace existing locking pins and bushing with new ones. During this time the new control panels will be built. Blast Door 1 and Blast Door 2 are 25 ton concrete reinforced. The deminsions of each door are10 feet by 10 feet and 3 feet thick.
To keep in line with Air Force Standards, each will include an Allen Bradly programmable logic controller (PLC). A jumper on an input will be used to designate the door that the PLC will operate and the program to be used.

This proposed contract is being considered as a set-aside under a small business set-aside program. The Government intends to use the North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code 236220 – Commercial and Industrial Building Construction for this requirement.
The size standard for NAICS 263220 is $36.5M. Does Industry agree with this NAICS, if not please provide suggestions.
The government requests interested parties submit a brief description of their company's business size (i.e. annual revenues and employee size), business status (i.e., 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zone, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, small business) anticipated teaming arrangements, and a description of similar services offered to the Government and to commercial customers. Any responses involving teaming agreements should delineate between the work that will be accomplished by the prime and the work accomplished by the teaming partners. The Government will use this information in determining its small business set-aside decision.
This Sources Sought Notice is issued for the purpose of market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. All businesses capable of providing these services are invited to respond. Any information provided by industry to the Government as a result of this sources sought synopsis is voluntary. The Government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this sources sought synopsis. Include contract magnitude and points of contact (POC) for each example provided (name of the POC, address, e-mail, telephone number, fax number, and the company's web page, if applicable). Please limit your response to not more than 2 single-sided pages (maximum). Each submission should include one electronic (virus scanned) copy sent via e-mail to the POC listed under the Point of Contact section. Electronic submissions are preferred.
