Sources Sought Remove & Re-Image Existing Computers
RFI No. F2MTME5133AW02 JBSA-Fort Sam Houston, TX 78234
Sources sought for potential contractors to perform the work outlined herein and capable of providing a firm-fixed price. The work will be performed on-site at Fort Sam Houston.
This is a Request for Information (RFI) and does not constitute an invitation to bid or Request for Quote, nor should it be considered as a commitment on the part of the Government. The information received WILL NOT obligate the Government in any manner nor will the Government reimburse companies for any costs associated with submittal of this RFI.
Summary of Work:
The work entails removing 1600 used laptop computers, and replacing them with 1600 new laptop computers. The laptop computers are known as End-User Devices (EUD).
The existing EUDs are various make or types of laptops. The contractor shall provide management, tools, materials, equipment, supplies, labor, and transportation for the following work:
1. Removal process of EUDs.
Remove 1600 existing laptops and uninstall hard drives, catalog serial numbers, and return to the Government.
The removal process includes any unnecessary and damaged computer components.
Transfer to storage of used EUDs shall be included.
2. Installation of 1600 new EUDs.
Unpack 1600 new EUDs (along with its components) and dispose of packaging material.
Load and image the hard drive of each computer with a standard IMD that contains a program specific software. Configuration and imaging on-site is required. This includes the deployment of each laptop and testing the configuration.
Upon completion of each EUD, it shall be installed, seated and operational for users.
Record, repair, replace damaged LAN cables with Government provided supplies. Offeror must include cable management, harnessing and layout.
A list and inventory of a serial numbers will be generated and maintained.
Prior to removing the laptops, contractor will provide a designated Project Manager and alternate contact person. The contractor will maintain records of the serial numbers of all the hardware removed and deployed. A daily report will be provided to the Government Project Manager.
Applicable Information.
The applicable North American Industrial Classification Systems (NAICS) is 541519—Other Computer Related Services with a small business standard size of $27.5 million dollars.
Potential offers should be register on www.fedbizopps.gov in order to receive notification and/or changes to the solicitation. In addition, all interested offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) Database. If you are not registered, you may request an application at
(866) 606-8220 or through the SAM website at http://www.sam.gov. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.
Please provide questions in writing to the email given. Questions over the phone will not be taken.
This RFI does not commit the Government to enter into any contractual agreement, nor will the Government pay for any information requested hereunder.
By submitting a response, each respondent agrees that any and all costs the respondent incurs in responding to this request or in support of activities associated with it shall be the sole responsibility of respondent. The Government shall incur no obligations or liabilities to anyone for any costs or expenses incurred by the respondent in responding to this RFI. Not responding to this request does not preclude participation in any future RFQ/RFP. The information provided in this RFI is subject to change and is not binding on the Government or the respondent. As such, to the extent that any information submitted in response to this RFI is marked as, or construed to be proprietary or business-sensitive, respondents are hereby notified (a) about the potential that such information may be disclosed to third parties and (b) that submission of information in response to this RFI constitutes consent to such handling and disclosure of submitted information. NO phone calls and/or request for a Solicitation will be accepted or acknowledged. Company Brochures are NOT desired.
