Combo / Synopsis RFQ F1D1638169AW02 -- QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS through 17 Jul, 2018
1. Does the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation posted as solicitation number F1D1638169AW02 on FBO contain requirements similar to a existing contract or will this be a new requirement?
Answer: --This is a new requirement
2. Please clarify that ‘bathroom space’ is the only requirement needed within the modular by the vendor and the government (CE) will provide & install bathroom fixtures, urinals, toilets…etc.
Answer: - Negative--The bathroom fixtures, urinals, toilets, should be included within the trailer module as well. The updated amendment should reflect the two (2) bathroom requriement.
3. Do they need a kitchenette?
Answer: —A kitchenette is not a requirement. However the customer is willing to take a closer look if it can be offered as they have not seen a modular with a kitchenette up to this point.
4. Is the fourth door a necessary requirement?
Answer: —The fourth door is not a requirement although highly preferred due to egress purposes.
5. We have a floor plan available below without the door. We can price an option to add the door but it would be relatively close to the existing back door. Would that be acceptable?
Answer: —The existing floor plan has extremely small bathrooms. Although a specific number of fixtures, urinals, and toilets was posted in our requirement, does a larger bathroom option exist?
6. This will be for the procurement of a new or used office complex with one (1) base year of purchase and 3 option years to lease.
Answer: This is basically a four year lease, with one base year and three more option years. The governmen may exercise the option to purchase during the course of the year if it is deemed more cost effetive for its mission purposes.

7. Please confirm that the government will provide final utility connections.
Answer: -- Yes, Civil Engineering (CE) will take care of the final utility connections.
8. Will the modular building need to be installed with a fire alarm system and IT data or will that be handled under a separate contract?
Answer: -- Fire Alarm System is not a requirement, smoke detectors will suffice. Base Communications will take care of the IT data.
9. The requirements states the space will be used for 25-30 personnel although there is a requirement for 40 desks. Is this correct or is this a type-o? A 48x60 has limited space with all of the offices and furniture requirements listed. Are offices for single or double occupancy?
Answer: -- The 25-30 personnel was from the initial PWS draft and subsequent typographical oversight for the increase to 40 desks. Please advise if the vendor would require a site visit to see the actual site. Further, I would like to view the modular complex/office as well if possible.
