The FDOH of Miami Dade County Facilities and Maintenance department has the need to purchase annual maintenance service agreements for its existing Trane heating and cooling HVAC systems. This system was engineered by Trane and is a fully integrated computerized system.

In accordance with Chapter 60A-1.045, Florida Administrative Code, the FDOH, Miami Dade Facilities and Maintenance Department requests authorization to purchase as a single source, the annual maintenance service agreements.

Justification for single source acquisition (what is necessary and unique about the product, services or source; steps taken to confirm unavailability of competition, as appropriate):

Trane is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for all mechanical equipment and the automation system needed for cooling and heating needs and has exclusive rights to all upgrades, modifications, and enhancements required to maintain continuity of the HVAC equipment and the building automation system.

Prospective vendors are requested to provide information regarding their ability to supply the commodities or contractual services described.
