About this file

This document is a notification from the City of New Haven's Commission on Equal Opportunities (CEO) regarding new Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) fees for contractors, effective July 1st, 2024. The document outlines a mandatory pre-award conference process for contractors and subcontractors working on city projects, which requires submission of an EEOC package before contract award. All developers, prime contractors, subcontractors, and tier-sub contractors working on City projects must comply with these new requirements.

The fee structure is tiered based on contract value, ranging from $100 for contracts between $1-$10,000 to $4,000 for contracts over $10 million. Fees are non-refundable and must be paid via business check, cashier check, or personal check within seven business days of the pre-award meeting. Payment must be made to the City of New Haven Treasurer's Office, and credit card submissions are not accepted. The city emphasizes that the fee structure is non-negotiable and will be managed in conjunction with the Department of Finance and Office of Management and Budget to ensure accurate accounting.
