About this file

This document is an Engineering Data Requirements attachment providing manufacturing instructions for an F-16 Engine Access Cover. The specific part number is 16B6592-815, with National Stock Number 1560-01-273-4300WF. The document details unique identification requirements per MIL-STD-130, specifying minimum 1/8-inch human-readable labeling and 1/4-inch square machine-readable 2D matrix labels that must include CAGE code, part number, and serial number. Material specifications require aluminum alloy forgings per SAE AMS-QQ-A-367 and aluminum alloy 2024 per SAE AMS-QQ-A-250/4, with a strict requirement that any material substitutions must receive prior approval from the cognizant engineering activity. Prepared by Don Willmoth from the 416 SCMS/GUEAA office at Hill Air Force Base on September 29, 2020, the document emphasizes that certain technical documents (16PR100 and 16PR006) will not be provided for manufacturing.
