About this file
This draft statement of work and related sources sought notice provide details for repair of Ship's Service Turbine Generators (SSTGs) onboard a Virginia-class submarine. The statement of work specifies requirements for disassembly, inspection, repair and testing of two SSTGs, including removal of existing components and installation of government furnished materials. Key work includes inspection and modification of thrust bearing housings by an original equipment manufacturer. The notice seeks capability statements from interested contractors to provide technical services including dynamic tuning which requires reactor plant operation. The Navy will use responses to determine whether to compete this requirement. The applicable NAICS code is 336611 and PSC is J020. Responses are due by the stated deadline for evaluation of technical merit and capability.
